Is Ryle Looking For A New Coach?

Featured Replies

A JV coach has head coaching experience, right?

Why limit yourself and lose out on an up-and-comer?

I don't think CCH has any regrets . Fresh thinking might be what they need in Union.

Disagree that they will be bare. Depth will be an issue but King, White, Bellew, Rice, and Stuhr is a solid starting 5

I watched them in the region and they looked really bad. Just because players are seniors don't mean they'll be a good 5. I didn't see any shooters or someone that could create their own shot that's returning. Bigs were just bodies and on ball defense was very bad. This is a program that needs to build at the lower levels. Gray is right next door and their coaches paths never cross.

You saw one game and you saw a coach that is a head case. White can fill it from anywhere but Mullins didn't utilize him. He is their best shooter returning. Stuhr is a force and will remain a force down low. They return some solid role players and with some new energy from the coaching staff I think they'll be solid next year.

I do agree with you that the youth programs or lack there if needs immediate attention.

I would hate to see Blevins leave Cooper but he is one hell of a coach. The kids like him and he knows his stuff. I've watched him for 5 years and I know he would do a great job. He should be tough to pass on.

Don't forget Snapp brings in his son as well who is a very nice player and will be a sophomore.

He can be a nice player. Depends on his growth. Kid is really small and skinny now. Nice overall game though.

Bad hire for Ryle if they take Snap

Hes working on that right now with Brian Wiefering of Weifit from what I understand. Ive seen the metamorphasis of kids that have worked with him and if he's dedicated then he will fill out. Kud has great moxy and can shoot the ball. Strength will come.

As well as the Highlands job. I heard he was a finalist 4 yrs ago.

That would be awesome if Shumate got the job but thought he was newly married and living/coaching in Indiana?

I think Shumate has a 12-30 record in 2 years at South Dearborn.

I'm just spitballing here, but I saw Stuhr in the regional against guys his size shoot from two feet and not hit the rim. I saw he had a few big games and then saw games that he had 4 points. Not saying he is incapable or that he is a bad kid. But I would disagree with the statment of he being a 'force.'

I'm not convinced there weren't more issues out there than just "Coach Mullins didn't know how to utilize his players." Just my opinion.
