  1. This is crazy. Bezold did a great job this year. They are on a probation period. They need time to recruit. And Holmes has one kid that can play D1 ball right now in my opinion. .500 record first year on D1 when you are. Allowed to play in the post season is pretty good. Not saying Bezold is the greatest coach ever, but he's a local guy doing a pretty good job.
  2. I wasn't saying a coach with no HC experience. I'm saying a coach from one of the smaller schools in the area or around it. I personally don't think the Blevins guy isn't ready for a Ryle job. But I'm not an AD either so..
  3. I agree that there will probably be someone from outside of NKY. But with all do respect there are a lot of great coaches in the area that would do a great job there and may deserve the chance. Ryle hasn't exactly been the dominate program in the region. It is a great job and has great potential. But there are a lot of good coaches that could step in and make it what it could be from the area.
  4. I'm not sure how familiar you are with that conference but I'm sure any casual observer who's seen a handful of NKAC DIII games in the last year or so knows the scouting report (hence its not hard to know that Dallas Dunaway has been scoring for the Grove's varsity team since he was in 7th gradee). It's 7 teams of small schools that have the same names and faces for four years straight. There are no suprses. I am not sure what this has to do with anything that we are talking about.. All I said was there was not a lot of talent that I saw in the one game I saw them play. You still have the same talent no matter who you play. I have no dog in the fight.
  5. Who is rumored to be the frontrunner for this job?
  6. You seem to have a connection with the Silver Grove program.. Maybe you should get on staff and help turn things around.
  7. I agree somewhat. But, I think that kids need to be motivated. That is the #1 quality in a coach in my opinion. You have to be a great motivator. And I am sure that the kids at UK wanted to compete. Caliapari is a great motivator, you put these kids at a lot of other programs, and they would have probably achieved less than what they did this year. I know it's not all on the coach, but it starts with the coach.
  8. Didn't see many division III teams at all. All I was saying was the talent was not very good, but Sliver Grove played hard. That's a tough place to coach!
  9. I am not really familiar with the Silver Grove program and only got to see one game this year vs Brossart, but it seemed like there was not very much talent there. They did play hard the entire game.
  10. I can agree with you on that, Coach Shields is a legend. Let me rephrase myself, who is the clear front runner for this job of interested candidates. Haha.
  11. Are there any clear front runners for this job?
