My understanding is the Principal and AD are doing the hiring. I have heard some mixed reports on a possible committee but at the end of the day the Principal will make the final decision.

He is the AD but Mark Raleigh is the Principal and the guy that makes the final decision.

So was it ever confirmed that he had applied for the job? If he did, to me the search is over, what's taking so long? There's only a handful of coaches at his level in the state.

 

Although it is impossible to know for sure I believe the answer is yes Chuck Smith has applied for the Boone job.

Fully realizing I have no clue who the applicants are in total I expect it to come down to Chuck Smith and Kyle Niederman. Unless Chuck has some outrageous demands or some baggage we don't know about I can't imagine it's not him.
