Absolutely amazing finish by the Illini!

Zeller got caught watching the paint dry on that one!

How do you give up a layup on an out of bounds play with .9 seconds to go?

I had a feeling Illinois would play well in this one. Shoulda bet it.

The Richardson kid was outstanding down the stretch for the Illini.

Was on Watford much more than Zeller, and in reality was a total team breakdown. Zeller just looked the worst for standing there and doing nothing after Watford left Griffey to chase Richardson...

Great execution by the Illini. Great last second (literally) win and double bonus that it was against a #1 team AND against Indiana!

I know, but it did look worse on Zeller for just standing there...

No doubt. He looked lost either way...

Might be on the coach as much as anyone for going man in that situation.

Thought the same thing. Big advantage to zone there and make them hit a tough jumper...

It looked like IU was switching everything and they didn't communicate at all. Illinois pretty much ran a screener towards two guys and two guys switched and Zeller didn't. Just a total breakdown in communication.

In my opinion, there was no reason for Zeller to be that far out on the floor. The guy he was guarding wasn't going to beat them and he only clogged things up. Zeller was completely out of position and not ready to defend. He lost sight of the ball and a man.

Agreed. And even if we say he was reacting to Watford's man he wasn't close enough to do anything anyway. 95% on Zeller on that one.

I liked the play. Similar concept to an OOB play Nova ran 2 years ago against UC at the Shoe to either win the game or tie it.
