February 8, 201313 yr Was watching bracketology on ESPN and they were saying the committee does not look at conference records. They look at opponents but not conference records? Tell me how that makes sense? If you are looking at opponents, the ones you play more than once have to mean a lot right? Someone help me out here? My guess is they're saying that in order to equalize teams in different conferences they are not going to give an advantage to a team that dominates their weaker conference than, say, a team from the Big East whose conference record is not as impressive.

February 8, 201313 yr Pretty crazy stat I saw earlier today....IU goes into Columbus to play #10 Ohio State Saturday....It's been 1,896 days or since 12/1/2007, since IU last won a road game against a ranked team. That day they beat the #22 ranked Southern Illinois Salukis. Talk about being a completely different team at home and on the road...:eek:

I think last season may be the first time IU went beyond the second round of the NCAA tournament since their Final Four run. Granted 5 of those seasons they were not in the NCAA tournament, but still...
