I saw this on Twitter from a Rivals guy. Can this really be the teams they play?

That's a cupcake of a schedule and I say this because Louisville is suppose to be a powerhouse in football or starting to become a powerhouse in football.

I agree. Although they beat Florida in the Sugar Bowl, you might expect a better schedule. I see them losing 1 game... to UK of course!

Football schedules are put together years in advance. The Ohio, UK and EKU games have been on the schedule for years. The conference schedule is the result of the Big East falling apart.

It is what it is.

There are rumors that ESPN may be trying toget something together involving Louisvile for week 1.

Would that be an additional game, or would they be replacing one of the existing non-conference opponents?

UK and Louisville are expected to be playing up to 2015, after that I don't know but I would say yes....I do have a question, are College Football schedules two year contracts like high school football?

UK might be their hardest game. Horrible schedule one of the worst in the country, it may hurt them in the end.

Not necessairly though most teams try to work out some kind of recipocal agreement. Generally your rivalries are multi-year contracts. Though I'm thinking the conference realignment may mess with those. UL has to be the favorite to win it all because they should be really good, with the path of least resistance.

The plus for Louisville is that they should start out ranked really high, probably somewhere between 5-10. With the usual attrition, along with voters tendency to bump non-losers ahead of losers in the poll, Louisville should be able to get near the top of the rankings so long as they don't lose. The computer numbers will drag them down, but humans account of 2/3 of the BCS standings. Of course the humans could put up a glass ceiling for Louisville knowing they won't have really beat anyone. Bottom line: Louisville has to win every game next year and will have to hope for everything around them to fall into place.

Based on the mismatch and ratings of last years champ, I don't think they would let in a team with zero good wins for another potential mismatch.

The Florida win will help them, if they are indeed undefeated.

Pathetic schedule.....something needs to change real quick for Ville....get out as soon as you can, just hurting the program...
