This is a match up nightmare for CCH. My guess is Tobler will start in order to better defend Schulte and McDonald. Regardless, one of the two Schulte/McDonald will have a miss match but it all depends on how NCC utilizes it. I would assume NCC will put Seibert on Ruthsatz. His length and athleticism will give Ruthsatz more fits than anyone else on NCC, IMO. However, Pangallo does have the speed to keep up witbh Ruthsatz but he is only a soph.

 

Frederick is the X factor once again for the colonels along with the colonels defense down low on McDonald/Schulte. Ruthsatz can't beat NCC/Holmes by himself. This showed in the Holmes game. If Frederick didn't have his best game of the year it likely could have been a 15+ point differential.

 

There will not be a mismatch for most of the game. Might be for a few minutes early if Coach R keeps his normal starting lineup. However, once Tobler and Schuh are both in there is no mismatch. Tobler is really strong physically and will guard McDonald and Schuh is long and athletic and will guard Schulte. How is that a mismatch?

 

We're playing the "if" game? If Coston didn't have 5 3s CCH wins. He did. Fredrick had 18. And?

What a great week for CCH fans who get to attend both games. Two outstanding environments with two strong teams battling.

NCC wins at home but this will be a great game.

CCH's bigs are solid. Tobler can pound with anyone. Don't think it as big a mismatch as some think. These are 2 excellent teams going after it. I rarely get to see a non-Holmes game due to travel and when the play usually others are also playing. Gonna get there tomorrow night. Looking forward to it. I have my parking spot at the Shopping Center saved.

Cov. Cath. by 6. Ruthsatz will be the difference.

On a big college court I would not want to face either Cov Cath or Holmes, at New Cath I see a "big" advantage for NCC. I still think this will be a close game. I just hope Lawnboy is prepared to pick me up at the bottom of the hill and drive me to the gym. I think that is the least he can do.

I would say if you made it by half time of the JV game, 6:30 you should be ok.

How is it not? Both McDonald and Schulte have inches on both Schuh and Tobler. Schuh is not a great post defender and is giving up around 20 pounds on McDonald/Schulte in the post. Schuh isn't physical down low either, he is a finess type player.

 

The inside scoring ability of both McDonald and Schulte is better than Tobler and Schuh, IMO. Schuh is most effective in transition or playing on the wing. His post game is the most limited of the four.
