There will not be a mismatch for most of the game. Might be for a few minutes early if Coach R keeps his normal starting lineup. However, once Tobler and Schuh are both in there is no mismatch. Tobler is really strong physically and will guard McDonald and Schuh is long and athletic and will guard Schulte. How is that a mismatch?

We're playing the "if" game? If Coston didn't have 5 3s CCH wins. He did. Fredrick had 18. And?

Comment above is for you Clyde.

Also, there is no what if game Clyde. Frederick simply had the best game of his career when you factor in the opponent and stage. If your going to sit here and tell me you thought Ruthsatz would end up with 12 and Frederick with 18 against Holmes you are crazy. My point being is that I believe Holmes and NCC can shut down Ruthsatz therefore someone on the offensive end has to step up. While looking at CCH roster Frederick has to play well against Holmes/NCC in order for CCH to win. If he doesn't score, you don't get much offense out of anyone besides Schuh. Tobler, Wichman, Pauly can get you about 10 but due to Frederick's ability to shoot outside makes it capable for him to have a bigger night scoring than Wichman, Tobler, and Pauly.

How is it not? Both McDonald and Schulte have inches on both Schuh and Tobler. Schuh is not a great post defender and is giving up around 20 pounds on McDonald/Schulte in the post. Schuh isn't physical down low either, he is a finess type player.

The inside scoring ability of both McDonald and Schulte is better than Tobler and Schuh, IMO. Schuh is most effective in transition or playing on the wing. His post game is the most limited of the four.

There's not as much of a height difference as you think. Secondly, it's irrelevant. McDonald's game is strength and not "hops." By your theory NCC should have KILLED Trinity since their 5 was about 6'2. Drew had what? 10? . Schulte is a transition guy as well. He, too, was ineffective against a much smaller T defender. He and Drew struggled getting good position and then struggled when they did get the ball. They didn't struggle because of height.

Height is overrated. It's all about what you can do offensively and defensively.

It's completely relevant to my point, it being a mismatch. I'm simply stating facts. Both McDonald and Schulte have 20 lbs on Bo and both have inches on Bo and Tobler, that is a fact Clyde. I never once said that NCC should have killed Trinity nor did I say NCC should kill CCH. Let's not forget Trinity is a top 5 team in the state either. I simply am stating the advantages for NCC in the paint which is my opinion, whether you agree or not. Also, if you refer back to my post I said it all depends on how NCC UTILIZES McDonald and Schulte. Obviously, CCH's guard play is their strength not their inside game. I think any bystander can observe that. Why do they push the ball and get in transition so much?

And how do you know what I think? I am pretty sure I can watch these kids play and have a decent idea of what I am talking about. In fact I have watched both McDonald and Schuh play for years. If it is all about what you can do offensively and defensively NCC still has the advantage in the post because both NCC bigs are better on both ends fo the court than CCH's bigs. Now if we are talking transition game and playing on the wing the advantage goes to Bo. But with the way the match ups are in this game Bo is going to spend a lot of time in the paint tonight.

I appreciate your bias fanhood toward CCH, which I dear respect however, don't put words in my mouth. There wasn't any theories it was a simple assessment of match ups and I didn't even say who I thought would win

I didn't say you said who would win. I said it wasn't a mismatch. You TWICE said it was and used as your criteria two things: Height and Weight. I pointed out the fallacy of that because I saw a 6'2 guy shut them down. That's all I'm saying. Your logic is off IMO and it's been proven within the last week.

It has nothing do with a bias. I'm a fan of the staff and the NCC program. Their consistency is outstanding.

If Drew and/or Schulte has success tonight it will not because of any mismatch resulting from size. It will be due to them playing really well.

BTW, Showtime. How big are you saying Drew and Schulte are?

Clyde - again your comments are 100% false. Trinity shut down McDonald/Schulte? I believe they led their team in scoring that game. I don't think you understand how good Trinity is.

I said it before. NCC played well enough that game to beat any 9th region team. I'm starting to think your goal is to just stir up controversity and you have no care or intelligence about the game.

What has been proven in the last week? I believe most of my posts have been pretty accurate with my predictions. Your gonna call out McDonald and Schulte struggling against Trinity, a top 5 team in the state? Sorry but CCH is not near a top 5 team in the state arguably 2nd/3rd best in the 9th region and there isn't one top 5 team in the state in the 9th right now.

Stat line against Trinity

1. McDonald 11, Schulte 10, Seibert 7, Bueter 7, Pangallo 3, Dupont 2, Devoto 2

I know it's shocking that McDonald and Schulte led the way....:sssh:

It could be NCC's strength but I'm not positive I could also be crazy? And perhaps maybe Trinity is the real deal and NCC isn't on that level?

Via CCH website

Bo Schuh 10 6'5 165 Center

Zack Tobler 12 6'5 210 Center...not so sure Tobler is 6'5'', 6'4'' tops.

Schulte is around 6'7'' and McDonald is 6'5''. Both have at least 20 lbs on Schuh.

Someone has to lead them in scoring. I fully understand how good T is. If you were there you saw a 6'2 guy made life very difficult for the bigs. That's not a shot. That's probably the case for most bigs that cat plays.

Money, stop by and see me tonight and we'll see who has intelligence. I've got plenty to spare.

Some of you guys get your panties ruffled when someone disagrees with you. Put your big boy pants on or go find some other place to express your opinions.

I guess I have to tell you the same as I told Money. I never claimed ANYONE in the 9th would have had success against T. YOU claimed a height advantage, as slight as it might be, is a "mismatch" (your term). I pointed out that a height advantage is not enough to create a mismatch and the 6'2 kid proved it. What is there to argue?

What is the argument here? I'm just pointing out a fallacy in your logic. Again, you said "mistmatch." Not me.

Either read what I post or don't take everything as a slight against NC. As I stated, I'm a fan of the program.

By the way, go back to the T NCC thread if you want to see my thoughts and explanations. Don't just take one word and try to make it into something it's not.

Both bigs can play. No question.

So now it's made it very difficult. Making it difficult and shutting down are two different things in my book.

What Trinity's bigs did well was position themselves for the offensive rebound. They have the luxury of having Hicks and his offensive game. They were not one of their main options to score. NCC's bigs needed to help on Hicks making boxing out more difficult. McDonald and Schulte are weapons on offense and defense.

I for one thought both did an outstanding job banging with Trinity's bigs.

They banged well. They just didnt take advantage of their height. Had problems in the post with their back to the basket.

So we are just going to discredit the 20+ lbs both Schulte and McDonald have on Schuh? I guess weight doesn't factor in as a size advantage at all. I claimed an overall size advantage in the paint for NCC. They are taller, stronger, and more skilled in the post than CCH bigs, point blank. Sorry if you don't agree.

You can act like I take everything against NC as a slight but I'm not even a NCC guy. That is what is truly funny to me. You simply let your bias take over in your posts. I'm just calling it what is is and NCC has the advantage in the post anyway you look at it.

I'm done arguing with you Clyde your always nit picking certain parts of posts and then disregard other points to make yourself seem right. I am with Money on this one! As far this arguement I will let talent prove itself again tonight.

And for the record I am a huge Schuh fan but his strength is certainly not guarding in the post. Offensively he is going to be special and his natural position is small forward.
