Final.

Dogs improve to 17-0 and wrap up #1 seed.

Walter's cell phone must be acting up...can someone update the final score thread to read Holmes 71 Covington Catholic 60?

That locks Holmes into the regional. Cov Cath and Holy Cross will play a game that will be one a done for one of them at district time.

Ruthsatz only had 12 points tonight. I don't think CCH can win these big games without more points out of Ruthsatz. They need his scoring.

Bolden 27 pts, 7 ast, 4 rbs

Coston 17

Englemon 14 pts, 12 rbs

Chames 7

Palmer 6

Frederick 18

Ruthsatz 12

Tobler 10

Pauly 9 and 8

Schuh 9 and 10

Schult 2

Bolden is a stud...Holmes is for real...Coston seems to really be finding his stroke which is not good for the opposition...Bolden, Coston, Englemon, Palmer and sometimes even Glover can lead the bulldogs in scoring on any given night...

Strong outing by the Bulldogs.

Hate to say it but after tonight, I don't think there's any question as to who the best pg in nky is. Bolden flat out put on a show.

Oh, Walter, I don't think you hate to say it at all

Scary to think how good he will be by the time he is a senior...His ball handling and ability to run a team is exceptional for his age and he is also a very good athlete...I've not seen anybody that can stay in front of him and guard him one on one...I'd love to see him against better competition, has he faced any elite competition in aau ball and if so how has he faired?

Really solid game by Holmes tonight. They played a full 4 quarters. Palmer was the unsung hero in keeping Ruthsatz in check. Boohers game plan was to not let Ruthsatz beat them. Frederick and Schu kept the Colonels close. Coston was on fire in the 1st half. This team can beat you so many ways. They have 4 guys that can shoot and get enough play out of Chames and Englemon to keep teams honest. If you go man to man palmer and Bolden beats everyone off the dribble. Bolden seems to have a third eye the way he escapes pressure. They were the better team tonight. Both teams did not play many players. I think they both played 7. Pretty well officiated game. Only Chames and Tobler were in foul trouble. Met the Lawnboy tonight. Look forward to seeing you again big guy.

Congrats to Holmes and they will be even tougher on a bigger college floor but in my mind #5 for Holmes was the man for Homes tonight. Sure he only scored 17 compared to 27 for Bolden but if he isn't hitting 5/7 from beyond the arch Bolten doesn't get the shots off he did as by hitting his shots from outside, it opened the middle for Bolden.

Understand not at all saying Bolden isn't a stud or the real deal but #5 Coston was IMVHO the man tonight for Holmes!

I actually really like Ruthsatz and his game. Just think he tries to do too much at times. Happened tonight. His 6 second half points came about mid 4th.

BTW both teams shot extremely well from the charity line.
