I know I posted and said it already, but again, how about Sawyer Pauly tonight??

 

9 pts, 8 rbs, 6 ast, and the big 3/4 court shot that pulled Covcath to within 4 at the half.

Really solid game by Holmes tonight. They played a full 4 quarters. Palmer was the unsung hero in keeping Ruthsatz in check. Boohers game plan was to not let Ruthsatz beat them. Frederick and Schu kept the Colonels close. Coston was on fire in the 1st half. This team can beat you so many ways. They have 4 guys that can shoot and get enough play out of Chames and Englemon to keep teams honest. If you go man to man palmer and Bolden beats everyone off the dribble. Bolden seems to have a third eye the way he escapes pressure. They were the better team tonight. Both teams did not play many players. I think they both played 7. Pretty well officiated game. Only Chames and Tobler were in foul trouble. Met the Lawnboy tonight. Look forward to seeing you again big guy.

We don't get too excited about that. Happens all the time (well not the 3/4 shot).

His shooting form has gotten a lot better since last season. Much smoother.

 

All Ohio- Purple...I know OBC has been trying to get him. Talk to their coach regularly at Fitworks. Said Bolden is the best sophomore he has seen in a long time.

I don't see him as much as you guys, so just want to make it known how impressed I am with him and his game. Would be a HUGE asset to any team in nky. Covcath is lucky to have him.

Quite true Clyde... about missing the bunnies. Skinny and I talked about that after the 1st quarter as CovCath gave and I do mean gave up, 6 points on point blank no one in your face missed bunnies and then another one in the 2nd quarter for a total of 8 points. Against a team like Holmes, you can't give up 8 easy layup points!

Schu impressed me also. He needs to get a little meat on his bones and he could be a force. Still needs work on inside game, he missed a few easy ones, but the kid plays hard and had a big three in the 4th.

I sat with our boy Walter tonight and when the final buzzer sounded he looked like a proud papa, BIG smile from ear to ear. You have every right to be proud of your Dawgs.

I believe Holmes Achilles Heal is their defensive rebounding. They don't use both hands and come down strng with it all the time. They gave the Colonels too many 2nd and 3rd looks.

Holmes is a very good team and their athleticism is amazing. Only way I see anyone beating this team is to slow down the pace and as another post pointed out bang it inside and get second and third chance points. Fun to watch and what a great crowd!

Q would tear him up right now. Probably close to the same level if you snap shot Q a year ago. Elite level competition last spring and summer really made a difference...
