I follow in Twitter and rarely actually tweet. The only time I've ever had a retweet or a mentionn was when I manage the account for the Brown Hotel. Apparently I am only relevant and/or interesting when not tweeting about myselff or interests.

One...don't have a smartphone so I don't twitter, as well as don't have facebook acct.........I really don't need to know when somebody took a dump, went to the store, their kid threw up, yada yada yada.

Twitter is hands down the best source of breaking news in the world. It's not even close. If you follow the correct accounts, you'll be up to speed on pretty much anything/everything. You're thinking about Facebook.

You'd be a great follow on Twitter, Deuce.

I like to think I'm pretty entertaining on there most of the time. I follow a lot of funny people that I interact with on a regular basis, so it makes Twitter that much more enjoyable for me.

No. I'm not a big user of social media but I do enjoy BGP. Partly because I don't have the time and partly because I really don't need to know what people are doing, saying, every minute of the day. Might be a generational thing.

As has been said, that isn't even remotely close to what Twitter is.

I guess I missed the point of twitter the first time around. I had an account for a while but deleted it a long time ago. I did the same with facebook, but have recently opened up another facebook account, even though I hate all the stupid stuff on facebook and the drama that comes with it.

I don't open up my bookmarks folder any longer. I just follow all of the sites that I'd normally check and I see their updates in real time. I constantly find new reporters and analysts that cover the stuff I'm interested in and they are always posting information, thoughts, and links to articles. It's impossible not to be up to date and well informed. I couldn't be aware of and digest this much information any other way. I also follow a handful of comedians and celebrity-types for levity. Twitter is awesome.

I meant that for the facebook reference.

See post #58

And we thank you for that.

 The BGP crew are celebs.

Thanks for clearing that up. Probably why I don't partake and need experts like you to set me straight.
