10-36 FG 29 points from Parker and SK isn't going to get it done vs good teams.

Some of you guys may remember UNM's Demetrius Walker. When he was in about 6th grade he was called the #1 player in his class and SI did a story on him. He then got passed as he got older and bounced around a bit before landing in New Mexico.

George Dohrmann wrote a book where he followed the AAU team the kid played on and documented how slimy and sad D's coach was.

UC missed 21 shots from 10 feet and in. Main issue is they didn't adjust to the way the game was being called, and instead of finishing strong they made easy shots tougher by not attacking through the finish. New Mexico has a nice team, and Alford is a very good coach. Will be interesting to see how UC responds on New Years Eve at Pitt...

Tough loss for UC but I think it will be good for them.

You can't shoot that poorly from inside the paint and expect to win. Cronin is spot on...they played soft. Instead of attacking the rim, they consistently avoided contact. 4 free throws isn't going to win you a game.

New Mexico is tough. There's a reason they were undefeated and #16 in the country a week ago. MY guess is UC falls to 12 or 13 after this loss. Win at Pitt on NYE and people forget all about this game.

What "if" they hiccup and lose at Pitt....Big "if". Do they fall out of the Top 25 all together?

Was the Shoe sold out last night? Sure looked like it wasn't very full.....Just curious?

They should.

Good for them. Mick and these guys deserve a crowd.

Admittedly, I have only watched a couple Cincy games (one in person, a couple more on TV), but I was less than impressed each time. A lot of individual play and no post presence. Most definitely not a top 10 team at this juncture.

They do have several athletes & play hard, though.

It will be interesting to see how they fare once the Big East schedule begins.

I , as well, haven't watched them a lot. My concern when I did watch them was their reliance on the jumper. I'm not sure if that's been consistent but it seems like it could be a problem.

Officially 10,627 per ESPN

Looked like a good crowd on TV. Mick said it right, didn't see a lot of toughness by UC particularly the last 10 minutes. Good game to watch.
