I talked to someone close to the program and they said they were accepting applications until Feb 1st. Then would start the selection process. Also that Jerry Perry applied, really wants the job and would not retire for 5-7 years if he got the job. Also, I really got the feeling Perry would be very upset if he wasn't given a chance. He has payed his dues at Danville and probably does deserve an opportunity. OH, and they would not have to worry about a teaching position for him.

I heard(not from an inside source...Walmart gossip) today that because Coach Perry knows how much Harp made and that because Danville is looking to reduce spending that he doesn't have a good chance to get the job. I'm not sure how much I believe that as I still feel he is the frontrunner for the job just ahead of Clevenger.

I just heard Chuck Smith got the job. Any truth?

All the applications are in. Interviewing is underway. Coach to be announced around February 10. Expectations are that it will be Perry or Clevenger with Clevenger believed to be the front runner at this point.

I heard the same. Tuesday-Thursday interviews with a possible announcement in the Sunday paper.

 

Who do you think gets it? I'm thinking Clevenger.

All four are good candidates, but in the end I'm with you and think Clevenger ends up getting it.
