I remember going to the Highlands games when I was a little kid and just staring at Holly Bankamper (aka) Holly Collinsworth... lol

Seriously?? You would let the words of some middle schoolers define how you view an entire high school? That's as disappointing as the incident itself because if everyone used the same criteria as you, we would all view each and every other school with distaste.

 

When a group of middle schoolers talk to several moms the way they did, using the language that they did, yes I did. I had never, and have not since, seen anything like it. I could only imagine how these kids would be when they were older.

Probably the same way we were treated in 2007 when we tried to park our short bus in the the parking lot at CCH for a Freshman Football game. They acted like they were expecting a sellout on a Thurs night. My man almost wore a butt whooping that evening talking to SueBird like that...:lol:Still didn't changed the respect that I have for CCH and the fans that follow them knowing "One" bad overpowered moron that thought he was going to play parking lot cop and threaten to call the law on us for doing nothing at all besides playing with our loud "Train" horn.:lol: Seriously though, we could sit here and throw stones back and forth if you would like but we have better things to do like "Beat Cov Cath".......Again!!! and again, and while we are at it....another again.

I've heard some really foul and offensive language coming out of adults after sporting events and I didn't hold it against an entire school, let alone middle schoolers doing it. It's a sad fact that there will always be that vocal minority that don't know how to act.

You obviously had not had that wonderful experience of meeting the middle schoolers from highlands out front of school after a game when they threatened to not only kick kids butts from the opposing school, but their parents as well. Yes this really did happen a few years back after one of the catholic school teams played. From that point forward my feelinds towards Highlands changed - and not for the better.

Since you don't want to talk about the subject of the thread, I have a question for you. If said kids were so disrespectful towards you and others including adults, did any of you happen to report it. Or is this your way of doing it? How long ago was that? You really need to move on.

If this would've happened to me at a CCH game, my perception of the CCH community would be skewed as well but you get over it and realize you cannot judge an entire community's heart by it. It's unfortunate that these things happen but they do, and they happen all over the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Apparently the coaching staff at Highlands work extremely hard teaching the kids respect, but stuff happens. I remember not too long ago many Bird fans including myself went off on a Lexington Catholic program due in some part to the antics of one particular individual on the field. We didn't like his shenanigans. It left us with a bad taste in our mouth's in regards to Lex. Cath, but once the emotions subsided, wisdom took over. You cannot blame an entire community, its school system, nor its athletic program based on the antics of a 13 yr old child. Time to grow up. -LexCath 3:53
