I had a really clever joke to post about National Signing Day but my mom stole it and ran away

So.... class of 2014.

I don't think there was ever a point he had a commitable offer on the table. They were recruiting over him and stringing him along the entire time in hopes of landing a bigger fish. If you never had the opportunity to call the head coach and commit, you didn't have a chance to choose that school...

GT your wrong on this one buddy. Without a doubt.

You think OSU offered and told him he couldn't commit? He was a backup plan if they missed, and they didn't. At no point would they have taken his commitment and lost out on Clark. That's the cut throat world of football recruiting...

I have no clue in this one but do u actually know 100% that they didn't offer or are you speculating? There were reports a few weeks back that OSU offered and then people thought it was a grey shirt offer but it wasn't. Were those reports false about OSU offering?

They offered but it wasn't a commitable offer in that if he wanted to commit on the spot they would not have taken it. It is part of the process on recruiting backup options. If they lost Clark two days ago for example, there is little chance to make up that ground with Timmons in a short period of time. So the offer is extended, but not to the point of being able to verbal on the players schedule. Happens everywhere with guys on the second tier of a recruiting board.

And after talking with several more OSU insiders I am 100% this was the case. Very good get for UK, but to say they "beat out" Ohio State isn't accurate...

UK NSD video.

Looks like Hatcher had his paperwork in earlier than the presser.

Who cares one way or the other? What everyone can agree on is they got a kid to sign that places like Florida and Ohio State were very interested in. The specifics are nothing more than semantics IMO.

UK is currently No. 28 in the Rivals.com national team rankings, breaking the previous school record of No. 36 set in 2006.

The word from the video that sticks out to me is "contagious". I agree that excitement is building!

UK will finish around 12th or 13th in the SEC in most recruiting rankings.

They would be 4th in the Big 10 and the Big 12.

True, but there is a big difference being ranked 27 and 13th in the conference or 50 something and 14th.
