March 14, 201313 yr I'm not a Kobe hater! Kobe likes that attention and he is going to use this situation to get it. He doesn't need to use a sprained ankle to get attention. The Lakers are the most talked about team this season and they suck.
March 14, 201313 yr No so much as Michael being hurt. Just Kobe wanting to be like Mike and everyone see him as the Lakers savior. Kobe wants to be better than Mike. Don't get it twisted.
March 21, 201313 yr Kobe wants to be better than Mike. Don't get it twisted. It will never happen!!!!!!!!!!! It's hard to be better than someone that you try to be like. Let's sing the chorus, "I wanna be like Mike"

I don't think he'll ever be considered better than MJ. I just think that it is common knowledge that Kobe doesn't try to be like anyone. He tries to be better than everyone.

I'm just saying that Kobe is the only one that patterned his game after MJ as well as MJ's mannerisms.

April 10, 201313 yr NBA "Expert" Stephen A Smith said that if Lakers lost one game here on out they wouldn't make the playoffs looking at every ones schedule. Is he correct? I would like to see them get in, I honestly think if they get in no one want's any of them. They have played with so much pressure all season after getting into such a deep hole, once they get in they are playing with house money.

OKC would beat them in no more than five and not break a sweat doing it IMO.
April 10, 201313 yr My thinking is that the Jazz will go 2-2 down the stretch, sweeping Minnesota. That would make them 43-39. Because Utah holds the tiebreaker, the Lakers need to be 44-38, which means going 4-1. So I think they can lose one, but if they were to lose two, I think they miss it. FWIW, I think they make it. Their only "trouble" games are the Spurs, Golden State, and Houston. Who knows who the Spurs will even play in that game, but it's the most likely stumble. Golden State, it really helps that's at home, same for Houston. I think they go 4-1 with a loss to the Spurs.

Golden State is a terrible match-up for the Lakers. Houston is a tough match-up as well, but like the Warriors, their spots are already secured. The Jazz have quietly went 7-2 over their last 9.
