May not be the favorites but after the Spurs recent trend of looking great in the regular season and being outclassed in the playoffs don't you think a motivated Kobe could be enough to maybe make it out? Howard has to play better, but traditionally he has in the playoffs.
March 7, 201313 yr I was thinking about this thread earlier today when I heard about the Lakers comeback win last night. What a turnaround for the Lakers. They will be the first round opponent none of the top seeds want to play.

When this team came together people were already penciling them in the Finals against Miami. Team got a lot of off season hype and on paper was pegged to be a force in the West. If they miss the playoffs that is going to sting, especially after all the hype coming in.

I think the only two teams LA would not have much of a chance to beat are OKC and Denver because the Laker defense is too bad. I would guess a healthy Spurs would beat them, but I wouldn't count LA out of that series.
