Saw a couple articles or "insiders" make mention that they've heard a few rumblings that if the Lakers are forced to make a choice, it'll be Howard. Doesn't he have a no-trade clause? No way they could get equal value for Kobe. They would get a lot more from moving Howard. Why would any team want to build around Dwight? Outside of his approach to the game he probably has the furthest fall from his prime to his old self. Look at him this year in which he's unhealthy. I don't think he'll ever be the same. At least other guys who have relied a lot on athleticism have improved other parts of their game.

February 23, 201313 yr Phil. Jim Buss won't mess it up this time. Is Phil the right guy for Dwight? How would he handle that style of coaching? May be just what he needs though. True but that hurts LA in the long run now that players care more about the organizations they play for then they used to it seems. Horrible PR for a move like that. Kobe might sign with OKC or the Clippers for the league minimum if that happens.

February 23, 201313 yr I honestly don't know why the Lakers keep king back to Phil Jackson. He coaches for a year then quits for 2. I mean he has that organization wrapped around his finger, its sad. Plus I he does come backs be Dwight agrees to a 5 year deal with the Lakers because Phil is coach does anyone honestly see Phil staying the whole 5 years?

They just signed a $3 Billion TV deal. I think they will be OK. I don't see Gasol being in a Laker jersey next year.
