Would she have been offended if the check said, "Brunette"? Because she is definitely a brunette.

Probably not. The dude should have just put "table 34" and left it at that though.

If he was smart, he could have put table "334" and still got his point across.

If it'd had been me I would have just wrote the following in the "tip" line. "Being an A-hole doesn't pay" then I would have drawn a line to and circled the rude and unprofessional comment.

What are they going to sue for?
Emotional distress? I heard the next day one of the girls were interviewed and was sobbing. Like I said, remember, it's California, so I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see a lawsuit.

She did, I watched it this morning. Maybe they will use this as motivation to lose weight and be healthier.

Well it won't be for telling the truth!!! Lord have mercy, Jeff the server was not lying, they was some BIG girls. Is it the right thing to put on a bill....HELL NO. Get your free meal and move on.

Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me. :ohbrother:

"...one of the women here involved seems truly emotionally scarred..." Give me a break. I agree completely with your sticks and stones sentiment.

I think they deserve the apology. Canning the bartender is perfectly in line. The discount is deserved as well, and perhaps even giving them their meal for free is too. However, I think the ladies refusing to pay is ridiculous, as would be a lawsuit.

Love it! :lol::lol:

Perfect recap CWB! Scarred?? I'm sure they have been called fat before. Shed some tears, get some free food and why not go for your 15 minutes of fame on get on TV. Give me a break. Oh and by the way, I'm a little chunky and have been called a few names. I dealt with it.

The server was dumb...He would have got away with it,if He had of put Phat Girlz instead of Fat Girls.:idunno::D

I missed the part about them refusing to pay. I agree. They owe for what they bought.

The news itself will punish the restaurant.

I don't know. I think business might pick up.
