I don't see anyone saying any such thing. But for argument's sake, what are your thoughts on the issue? Should anyone be able to park in a HC spot? Are there certain times in which it is okay?

Well, it happened to me this week. I was taking my mom to her oncologist (she is in the late stages of cancer) and when we pulled up, there was a delivery truck blocking not one, but three handicap parking spaces! My sister and I were able to get my mom into a wheelchair and get her inside and then I came back out and waited. I was hoping to be able to catch the guy before he left and give him a piece of my mind but I had to go in for our appt. before he came back. Luckiest day of his life since we couldn't have our little chat like I was hoping!

Seriously, how stupid do you have to be to block handicap parking spaces anywhere, but especially at a doctor's office. There's a reason there are wheelchairs lined up by the front door. :irked:

The scenario he described is a completely different one than what this thread has been centered around and you know it RTS.

Comparing the moron that actually parked his car there out of selfishness, and a delivery driver, is like comparing apples to pianos......not even close. Nice try though.

Yeah, you're right. It was only two handicap spots in the first post.

^ I stand corrected as it was a delivery driver. BUT, blocking three? Bad.....blocking one? Not bad, IMO.....some patience could have been shown by lawildcat as well....sounds like it all went down in about 3-4 minutes.

There shouldn't have to be any patience shown by lawildcat as those spots are for HANDICAPPED people, not delivery trucks.

 

So one is fine, three is bad in your book. What about two, since that's how many were blocked in Guru's post? 1, 2, 3, it doesn't matter the number or the amount of time. It's inexcusable, lazy and selfish.

Why not just get rid of handicap parking then? I mean if its not a big deal to block the spots then why have them.

This doesn't make any sense. Why is it okay in your book for a delivery driver to block one spot but not 3?

You conveniently leave out the part of him waiting outside for him, but that it took too long and he had to go in for the appointment. We've said all along if the truck is there for 60 seconds or so, it's no big deal. The fact that in his example he was there for quite a while is completely different.

 

Keep trying RTS, sooner or later you'll make a relevant point.
