Congrats to the Birds.

6 in a row and likely to be 7 with what they return next year.

Slogan for the season, anyone?

Someone tweeted "Stairway to Seven". Sounds good to me

Congratulations to the Birds and on the state record; awesome accomplishment.

Very boring game. Collins was decent but this was no contest from start to finish.

Tell us more Ru.

Congrats to the 'Birds! Great Season

Thank you Seniors! You had great careers and should be very proud of your accomplishments.

Congrats to all the Highlands players and coaches on the championship season! The tradition continues! Best wishes to Coach Mueller and his extended family, and a special congratulations to Coach Weinrich on the big win as "acting head coach" last night!

Go 'Birds!

Does anyone know when the underclassmen begin lifting weights in preparation for next season?

Officially, they usually start their conditioning the first day back to school following New Years. Unofficially, there will be some of the younger guys in the weight room today getting a head start.

I told a friend of mine right after the KHSAA went to 6 classes that HHS may very well win 10 state championships in a row. He laughed but I was serious. 6 down - 4 to go. Regarding the final score, the 47 does not surprise me. The 0 does. I did not see a shutout coming.

But they played up when we first went to six classes so they would have won their titles with 6 or 4 classes.

Great game Birds!!! I thought Harris and Frog ran the ball extremely well. Harris looked like the Harris of old running very hard and punishing the first guy who tried to tackle him. McCoy was McCoy throwing and running the ball. The defense played very well bending a little but not breaking. What can you say about Seth Hope? He lives in the teams opposing backfield. That kid will be a STUD next year no doubt!! 7Heaven!!! :dancingpa

If they would be in the 3a divison they would of still won all six. If the Birds were in 4a probably not.

They are in the weight room now. Stop by and say hello.

^ Could be difficult for me to do that...

Def a prob when the freshman and jv team only had to show up.

Congratulations on the Championship this season and 'the streak.'

I believe the Birds will be even better next year. They are a junior heavy team..
