You mention going out to camps. How might a Seth Hope find out about these camps? Are you talking about camps put on by the various colleges or are you talking about football type camps in general. I was always under the impression that college coaches seek out those kids that they want to invite to the camps on their campuses in the summer. At what age should kids start attending camps and where is the best place to find out about them?

Seth is a legit 6'3.5". He is actually up to 228 lbs. (as measured at Cincinnati Children's) right now. Seth knows about the camps. Schools invite the players to their camps. Seth was invited to a dozen or so last summer. He would have attended several this past off season, but he was recovering from a groin injury. He keeps in touch with the coach's though. He really just started getting completely healthy at the end of this season. One of the reasons you saw his production increase. There is plenty of interest in Seth. Has already taken several visits to D-1 programs. Seth put on almost 20 lbs and grew 1.5 inches from sophomore season to now. He is not playing basketball this season. He plans to continue to train with the team as well as a former NFL'er whom he trained with in the off-season last year prior to his injury.

In fact I saw he and several other Birds in the weight room at the local YMCA today working out. They are already at it.

If he is truly 6'3 and has room on the frame he needs to get out to camps. If he runs well he may be a D1 LB candidate.

He's all over the field. Would almost have the QB in his grasp on one side of the field and then when the QB threw it across the field, he would be in on the tackle there also.

There are camps that you need an invite to and camps out there that you can sign up and attend.

You would think Dale would have that info JOAT.

Hope could be another Brent Grover. Would love to have seen him come back for Hoops and help bang in the middle.

I'm being completely honest here...It's good for Collins to have played them. No, maybe not the poor seniors or even juniors that had to suffer through the loss and maybe not even be ready next year, but it's good for the program. If you don't see teams like HHS, you don't know what's really out there until it's too late and you are meeting them under the lights. Collins got exposed to what level they need to get to. They are a new program and should be very proud of what they accomplished. Getting that exposure usually leads to one of two things...they can get hungry and work harder to get to that level or they can fold up like a lawn chair. My bet is they got a taste of success, got a great benchmark for where their program stands and they come back hungry with guns blazing!

I agree! As a matter of fact, the exact same words were spoken to the team by Coach Lucas at halftime and after the game. They are excited for the the chance to return and have a better showing. Again, I am on the staff of Raceland (1A) as the team doctor and don't get to watch other teams live as much as I'd like but I was very impressed with HHS and although they didn't play to HHS's level, the Titans did impress me against Warren East. As good as Mayfield is, Warren East did defeat Mayfield in week 1. So, pounding Warren East should go as a sounding board that (collins) is getting closer to where they need to be.

Btw, in the 3 years of existence, Collins has 2 Regional titles and a runner-up finish to HHS. Most programs would jump at those accomplishments.
