Gabe Schultz Defensive Player of the game

Mueller get credit for his 11th title

Gabe Schultz played great, but Seth Hope had 5 sacks, so I thought he would be defensive player of the game.

Schultz has been outstanding all year and certainly gets it done.

5 sacks in a state final for a loss of 60+ total yards certainly might deserve it in my book.

Great game Seth !! Keep working hard in the weight room and get that bench press up so you can manhandle offensive lineman next year.

I believe, The U.S. Army "Guard of the Game" Award (defensive player of the game) goes to a senior.

I guess that would explain it. Most of the defensive stars seemed to be underclassmen (Hope, Wrobleski, Brady Murray, Andrew Abner etc.).

Thoughts on the final: Hope kid is a freak. Where did this kid come from because he wasn't around in the early season. Seidl was a non factor early season as well and he was given alot of opportunities in the late season also. What a weird season. Completely different team in just a few months.

Maybe they changed their defensive schemes to give Hope more opportunity (I don't know), because he has been there all year. As matter of fact, he played quite a bit last year as a sophomore. The way he played at the end was the way he played his freshman year. I believe Seidl was hurt early in the year, and started playing a lot when he healed.

By the way, I hope these weren't rhetorical questions. If so, ignore my answers.

First of all, I want to congratulate HHS for their victory and 6th Title in a row. It was the first time I have seen them play live in a long time. I saw Collins play last week and how they dismantled Warren East and I truly thought Collins would play HHS much better and although I am realistic and thought HHS would probably win......I just couldn't dream of the total domination in this game. I was on the sidelines and watched this game up close and personal and it was a complete butt whipping.

How big is Seth Hope?

Listed at 6'3 and 216 pounds. I would say this is fairly accurate. He is tall and lean and definitely put on some weight.

If he puts on 15-20lbs look out..

If he is truly 6'3 and has room on the frame he needs to get out to camps. If he runs well he may be a D1 LB candidate.

I'm being completely honest here...It's good for Collins to have played them. No, maybe not the poor seniors or even juniors that had to suffer through the loss and maybe not even be ready next year, but it's good for the program. If you don't see teams like HHS, you don't know what's really out there until it's too late and you are meeting them under the lights. Collins got exposed to what level they need to get to. They are a new program and should be very proud of what they accomplished. Getting that exposure usually leads to one of two things...they can get hungry and work harder to get to that level or they can fold up like a lawn chair. My bet is they got a taste of success, got a great benchmark for where their program stands and they come back hungry with guns blazing!

I'm pretty sure he is a legit 6'3. But I know what you're saying.

You mention going out to camps. How might a Seth Hope find out about these camps? Are you talking about camps put on by the various colleges or are you talking about football type camps in general. I was always under the impression that college coaches seek out those kids that they want to invite to the camps on their campuses in the summer. At what age should kids start attending camps and where is the best place to find out about them?
