Fair question but I'd say no.

Without a head-to-head matchup against Highlands there's no way to say. The Cake-Eater in me says no, but the football fan in me says they have every right to say they are at least as good as Highlands. Party on, Jags. And good luck this weekend.

I'd say they're a phone call to Highlands away from making it happen in the future.

I actually don't care. If Cooper wins that will make my year and could care less about a paper champion. That's why I never really put much weight into the so called #1 team in the nation stuff because all it is is a fictional title.

 

If Highlands wants the #1 ranking in NKY, they can have it...may mean more to them anyway lol. I'm more concerned with Sat's game. Good luck to all 3 NKY teams this weekend, lets try and bring as much hardware back to NKY as we can!

HHS may very well win but it is the totally arrogant attitude as shown above that will make me laugh my spleen out if Collins can do it.

And talk like this, is exactly why Basketball and Baseball should never go to more than one Division. Why? Because when you win the state title in those sports, you are the Best no if's and or buts about it!

Sure they could make the claim as beating BG would be ultra impressive.

Nah, not after about 150 of them.

All that matters is that Cooper wins. HHS is the best program in NKY without a doubt but sometimes the best team doesn't always win. Good luck to both teams

I'm sure you aren't alone. ;-) I don't think it's necessarily a given, but I think it will be an uphill battle for Collins. I'm more interested in seeing if all the hype about BG is for real this time.

Not sure why beating BG while being a very impressive win would have any bearing on who is better between Cooper and HHS. Lex Cath is the only common opponent between HHS and BG. BG beats Catholic with game a one possession game until late in the 4th. HHS beats Catholic 61-28 and think the game was mostly over at half. Maybe if Cooper had a chance to play Lex Cath and beat them soundly you could justify Cooper being the best in NKY. I hope Cooper and HHS both win and really don't care who thinks who is best in NKY. I just selfishly like thinking and proving NKY plays really strong football in as many classes as possible.
