Ask the 20n10 Highlands team what ring fits best the State Championship one or the NKAC one...

They could absolutely care less about the latter. And even know they finished 2nd in NKY that yr unless you are Conner fan and a Highlands fan not a whole lot of people will every remember who finished 1st in NKY that yr but everyone will remember who won the State Championships that yr.

 

Maybe somebody should start making and handing out the proverbial "Banquet Win Bowl" ring that so many on here would love to see handed out for winning games that really dont count for nothing but braggin rights on threads like this:clap:

You are correct, State Championship trumps everything. I dont think NCC hangs their head when they lose to Beechwood in the regular season but wins a state final. It is much sweeter when they win, just as it would have been for Highlands in '10 if they went undefeated.

Nothing against those teams you mentioned, they have all had great seasons this year, but myu answer would be yes. Especially a great team like NCC who Cooper did play in their scrimmage before the season started and beat them 48-7.

 

With that said I still say to the question in the title thread, I could care less. Paper Champions are worth the paper they are written on so all I care about is the team doing their best to win Saturday against a team they actually will be playing against.

 

Come on. Scrimmage? So lets base our initial rankings off of scrimmages...T #1 and Highlands #100. I know you could care less about paper championships but the question is raised and I firmly say no. Highlands starters would not play 3 full quarters against Cooper on their best day. Cooper may have a chance at beating Bowling Green. Those two items do not go hand and hand. Highlands will most likely be #1 in NKY coaches poll for the next 10 years unless CovCath decides to get back to where they were. Again, good luck to Cooper in the state finals.

I don't care about the mythical title, that was my point of my post. It seems the only ones that were getting bothered by this talk was the Highland fans lol. As I said all along, that is the least of my concerns.

 

If I were that certain UKfan I think I would of claimed we were #1 etc. lol.

 

Anyway, good luck this weekend, lets both teams bring back some hardware.
