Somerset will win by 2 scores. I have seen both play and NCC isn't playing at the same level.

 

What NewCath teams have you been watching? For your 1st post this is weak. :ohbrother:

 

Maybe you've been watching the NewCath 2nd team against the other teams 1st team.

Maybe a Somerset fan can fill in us NKY people on places to eat and a little about the facilities. I personally will not be able to make the trip but woke this morning with messages from 2a different family members asking me for information.

 

Facilities

Field is on the left as you come into town at Meece Middle School.

Plenty of on site parking.

Visitor side bleachers seat around 1000+/- with additional room to stand/sit on track on south end of the field

 

Eats...all on Hwy 27 a couple of miles past the field and turn left

Thanks for the information. My only question is what road is the field on as there are several ways to come into town if I remember correctly. An address would be helpful for GPS use. Thank you.

If you come down I-75 take Mt Vernon exit turn right which will put you on Hwy 461. Follow 461 to Hwy 80 and turn right at intersection towards Somerset. You will go through one (1) light and then the school and football field will be about 3/4 mile past the light on the left.

 

Address for the school is 210 Barnett St. Somerset Kentucky.

Jumpers have played a pretty good schedule this year, but at times didn't look like they could score in a brothel.

 

NCC has also played a very good schedule and has scored 170 more points than Somerset has, so it doesn't seem as if scoring is an issue for them.

I haven't seen Somerset play, but if they beat NCC by 2 scores, then they deserve to be state champs! NCC is playing as well as any team in NKY right now. They have found all the pieces to the puzzle and have been steam rolling teams ever since!

You won't be disappointed. Somerset is a great place to play as a visiting fan and as classy a fan base as you will find. When Belfry visited there we were impressed with the hospitality and friendliness of everybody.

During the Breds current 7 game win streak, NewCath is on a roll. Outscoring their opponents 345-73 with 5 running clocks. The 1st team defense has given up a total of 26 pts. Lloyd 52 yd pass & 36 yd FG, 28 yd FG to Holy Cross, BW TD after a fumbled fair catch on the NewCath 18, & WV 27 yd int return......THAT'S IT!!!

 

I was extremely critical of the Breds offense and defense early on, but they were "the walking wounded" at the time. However, Coach Eviston and his staff knew in due time that they would have all the pieces in place when it came time for the playoffs and it is certainly showing. Now with everyone back (except starting Sr. RB/DB Mason Myers, broken ankle BW game) the Breds are clicking on all cylinders and have their sights set on the 2A title. They cannot overlook Somerset, the Briar Jumpers are also on a 7 game win streak of their own, but if the Breds play like they have the last 7 games they should be in Bowling Green the following week. Only time will tell.

During this 7 game winning streak they have played 6 teams with a power rating below 43. Beech wood with a 63. power rating being the only team worth a Crap. Cong: on putting up huge numbers on these teams. Somerset would have done the same. A couple of these teams are at a 18. and below power rating. One being 0.1 Wow!! Somerset has played Danville twice during their 7 game streak power ratings at 68. LCA twice power ratings at 53. and Perry Central at 56. I think when NCC has to play someone that can play they will not put all those points on Board. It will be a good Game. The Cake Walk is Over.

Who cares about your precious power rankings? This isn't the BCS. You beat the teams that you have to beat to get here. I remember people bagging on Ft Campbell about their SOS and then watching them beat the Breds in back to back finals. All that matters is that your corners can cover one on one. You will need 8 men in the box and Franzen is the leading receiver up here in terms of yards. I guarantee that you haven't faced an offense that will give you so many different looks through so few formations.
