I remember people bagging on Ft Campbell about their SOS and then watching them beat the Breds in back to back finals. All that matters is that your corners can cover one on one. You will need 8 men in the box and Franzen is the leading receiver up here in terms of yards. I guarantee that you haven't faced an offense that will give you so many different looks through so few formations.

I guarantee you you have not faced a Def. as good all Year. That is why it will be a good Game. Yes I agree you have to line up and beat the person across from you and Power Ratings are sometimes out in left field, but usually at this time of year they are pretty close. I haven't seen Somerset play, but if they beat NCC by 2 scores, then they deserve to be state champs! NCC is playing as well as any team in NKY right now. They have found all the pieces to the puzzle and have been steam rolling teams ever since!

I agree. But as well as NCC has been playing, so has Somerset. They seem to have really solified themselves in the playoffs. They have "rolled" in their last two games, and seem to also be playing their best ball. I don't see a high scoring game, maybe 21 wins it. Ina game like this turnovers could be critical. I haven't seen the teams from the west, but I really believe the winner of this game will be favorite in the finals. Certainly playing at Somerset is a big advantage.

If you come down I-75 take Mt Vernon exit turn right which will put you on Hwy 461. Follow 461 to Hwy 80 and turn right at intersection towards Somerset. You will go through one (1) light and then the school and football field will be about 3/4 mile past the light on the left.

Thank you very much. I know just where you mean. When we come down we turn left on 80 to go to Burnside so that's why I have never seen the field.

As was mentioned, if everyone is as hospitiable as you it will be a pleasurable night. Long range weather forcast looks good, so lets hope for a good game, and the winner goes on to win it all. I really believe it will be very close and a great game.

Bet everyone of you Look!!!!All I was trying to say was Somerset would have beaten all those weaker Teams just as bad as NCC did. The only close Comparison was the SK vs Danville Score, NCC vs. SK Score, and Somerset vs Danville Score. I know it's not about comparing Scores because Some People match up better with Different Teams. IMO it will be a Great High School Football Game. For those that think NCC will run the Score up on Somerset you are for a rude awakening. It want happen.

Nobody has, at least not NewCath people. I have seen NewCath play Somerset twice. I was very impressed with the program. I played w a dude from Somerset in college and he was fundamentally as solid as you get. I have not seen this year's Briars, but if you can beat Danville by 24 in your second meeting of the year, then you obviously are a very, very good team. No excuses Saturday morning, both teams are playing their best it sounds like.

As far as power rankings I don't pay any attention to them but since you bring it up. Beechwood has a power ranking of 63 and it was a beat down. BW's only TD against the first team was a drive that started around the NCC 10 yard line. No disrespect to BW but that was the way the game went, hope they can bring a championship home. Point is you have been obsessed with what NCC has been doing.

Newport Catholic 22-14.

NCC know the road to Bowling Green very well. They have been in the finals 5 of the last 7 years and know what it takes to bring home the hardware. Somerset's last played NCC in the 2006 semi state and lost 40-24. They played in the 2005 semi state with NCC winning 30-10. 2012 brings about 2 historically familliar foes, but completely different teams from years past. These 2 teams look to be evenly matched and that is what makes Friday nights game one to watch. Win or lose this is the last game ever played on Clark field for the Jumper seniors. Good luck Jumpers! This SHS alum will be there cheering you on.
