Papa John's is the worst ran pizza franchise in the world. I worked there for 5 years of my life and I had already vowed to never pay for their crap pizzas ever again before Schnatter started crying. If the state finals were still played at Papa John's stadium I wouldn't go. He's an idiot.

CEO's are hired to make companies profits. If the CEO does not maintain a certain profit margin, then he or she will be out of a job. This means they are going to cut hours to avoid penalties and raise prices of the product. CEO's are not going to make companies less money and say, "don't hold me accountable, it's Obamacare's fault."

The additional $5M to $8M cited by Papa John's represents approximately a 1/2% increase in expenses for the corporation.

 

My guess is the loss of revenue now coming about as a result of people who are upset with PJs is more than the $5M to $8M.

If the product is worth the money then the people will still buy it. The math I'm seeing is that Papa John's can increase the price of pizza by less than a quarter and pay the healthcare costs. I work hard for every penny I have. I also know that prices have risen for everything since the day prices were introduced to this world. Just a fact of life. If your product or service is worth my hard earned pennies then I'll still buy it. These CEOs need to put on their big boy pants and quit crying and get to doing what they know how to do. Provide a service and make money off of it. Bunch of babies is all I see and hear.

I personally do not care for Papa John's pizza. I agree with you that it is garbage.

Good question. I suppose it would depend on if the added jobs were filled by people new to the workforce or people picking up a second part time job.

We have military scattered all over the world, including Germany. We spend billions each year trying to be the police officer of the world. Germany tried to do that on a couple of occasions last century and both failed miserably. The Germans don't spend too much military and haven't since 1945.

 

 

Question is how can their government provide their socialized medicine and services (and paid university) for considerably less cost than our government?
