Easy for you to say. How many payrolls have you met in your lifetime?

 

IF I had to meet payrolls I would. IF I had to raise prices I would. IF I had to be creative to take care of my employees I would. I wouldn't blame the business climate on my failure to adapt.

I personally do not care for Papa John's pizza. I agree with you that it is garbage.

 

That being said, this is going to be the norm for companies and the larger the company, the higher the price increase.

 

And I'm okay with that. If I want it I will buy it.

Question not directed at anyone in particular:

What is anyone doing to support the small to mid-size businesses who do not have the cost synergies of the Walmarts and the big businesses we all so love to hate on? The banking bailout did not help the small businessperson..in fact, the banks were incented to clean out their portfolios which pulled the funding out from under a lot of entrepreneurs who were idea rich, but cash strapped.

 

And...many big businesses have their pick of employees, and they will not hire people that many smaller businesses will take a chance on.

Our economy depends on the motive to make a profit. That is the point if a business. Everything else is a derivative. To get mad at a business for pointing out a hindrance is silly and moves us in the wrong direction.

If I am following your logic correctly, in your eyes, poor policy/decisions by government and elected idiot/officials can NEVER be the reason for hindrance on private enterprise? You see, I absolutely do NOT trust government, and you do not seem to trust private enterprise, which explains our differences.

No. I am saying if I ran a business I wouldn't be out blaming Obamacare if my business failed. I would adapt and move on or I would fail to adapt and shut it down. I would blame myself if I failed. You're missing the part where they announce it to the world why they cannot adapt. And in Papa John's case he's just being an idiot. Maybe, I'm naive. I just feel like I could run my business the same way without coming off like a jerk and a crybaby because the rules of the game changed.
