Last week Frankfort had one for taunting during a 71 yard td reception and Bellevue had 2 out of frustration. I would hardly say that the Panthers are prone to that. If Frankfort isso bad, they shoulda be a 5-5 team, instead of their only loss to a 12-0 team in 5A. 11-1 takes some amount of discipline, doesn't it? Frankfort is allowed to be a good football team without all of the negative stigma people wish to add. I have read many post in the past that also say our kids are good kids as well. I would say that none of the schools we have played would tell you we ran a score up. I can assure you that we have some young kids that are glad we do not. They get a lot of playing time because we do not.

 

Having watched the Tigers play them 3 times, I can say that I haven't seen anything that supports the statement that they Play "Dirty" and with "no respect or discipline"

Frankfort is far from a "dirty" team. Every team in the state has moments where emotion comes out. There is nothing wrong with getting excited with your teammates after a score or a big play. If you arent excited then why play the game? I know many of these kids personally and have for years. They are always yes sir, no sir kids and many of them go out of their way to speak when they see me. Frankfort is a stand up program. Good luck this week Panthers. Bring home a regional title.

I am not a Beechwood fan , but I hope the Tigers send Frankfort back home with serious whipping. I do not believe in running the score up on someone but ....go ahead in this case. Frankfort has a terrible reputation for playing dirty and poor on field behavior. I have seen them play at home and away. They play with no respect or disipline.

 

Being from Northern Kentucky, we should refrain from mentioning Beechwood and running up the score in the same sentence. You just had to see the old building where the past scores were displayed to get an understanding of their stance.

No coach I know of works harder at keeping the score down than Coach Rash. His starters played just a hair over one quarter versus Ludlow this year because the score was getting out of hand. Rash will play his starters to get to the running clock and then the starters take a seat. I have never seen Rash do anything to run up a score and I have seen him make every effort to keep scores down.

I agree! Yeagle was the same as Rash too! What gets me, it's sad actually, is that people expect good teams to either roll over and play dead, or sit back and wait for the losing team to catch up. Face it people, some teams are just not good football teams or nowhere near as good as the team they are playing against, and no matter what the better team does they will continue to score, even well after their starters are on the bench.

First off, it wasn't a Beechwood fan who made the discipline and respect comment, and they said "on the field", I guess you missed those two things.

I think Frankfort has the superior team this year.. Wouldn't surprise me to see B'Wood win, but, I still think the Panthers should come out with a 2-3 TD win.. If they were home, it'd be 3-4 scores... I'm calling for a 34-17 type score in this one..

If you actually do follow Beechwood then you know of the building I speak. To be honest, I'm not talking only about the games in the last two decades, my experiences can go back to the times when they were handing it off to Geno Terry. The fact remains that Beechwood and Frankfort have a few teams on their schedules that stuggle to keep up with even their 2nd teams. Not much anyone can do about those games and as a coach you certainly cannot ask your kids to stand down. The great thing is that on friday night, the "disrespectful and undisciplined" Panthers will come to Ft. Mitchell for the right to play Mayfield.

My son played against Frankfort and had nothing but good things to say about its players.

Because they lost 21 of 22 Sr starters from last years team, so, alot of 1st year starters.. Doesn't mean they aren't still a capable team, but, I think even most of the B'Wood faithful would tell you that this isn't one of there stronger teams.. Like I said, still very capable, but, not the juggernaut some of there previous teams were.. Frankfort should have the talent and speed advantage in this one..
