Anyone else notice that the "good, big games" are moving further and further up in the playoff campaigns for Beechwood? Used to be the state finals, then the semi's, and now the region finals? Is this because Beechwood is getting weaker or the competition stronger, or a combination of the two?

Frankfort has always been a big game despite what the final scores look like. Even more so this year because of how good Frankfort is. They have been ranked #2 in the state almost all year. If we look at halftime scores, I believe most of the time the games have been relatively close at halftime. Beechwood usually seems to just gradually pull away in the second half and then the final score looks like it wasn't that close of a game.

This game has never been a breeze for the Tigers. I never felt comfortable that the game was in the bag until well into the 4th qtr. If you go by the score, you may think they were easy games. As a fan, I can tell you they were not the blowouts they appeared to be on the final scoreboards.

 

This year will certainly be even more of a game and will likely go all the way to the final minutes.

We may as well get this started. No sense have this discussion in the game threads. What do you think about this one?

For the past four year's I have scouted Frankfort and came back with this statement " I hope we will be ready and to strap on the gear cause Frankfort is for real" I have been surprised everytime I saw them play and impressed by how hard they faught. I beleive this QB will be tough to stop he was last year as a junior. I agree with VOR we are always in a dog fight the first half and seems we just pile it on in the 2nd half. This will be a good game and both teams will be ready. Good luck BW Tigers. JD

Frankfort has to play 4 qts... every year I have watch is was around 14-7, 14 all and I think even one year Frankfort was up at half 16-7. I think it will be different with this Frankfort team. They seem to be playing off emotion and hungry to get to that next game.

If you think Frankfort has a speed advantage over Beechwood, yes it benefits the Panthers. Turf benefits the faster team.

Frankfort has a terrible reputation for playing dirty and poor on field behavior. I have seen them play at home and away. They play with no respect or disipline.

This is one of those games that you just can't wait till Friday. You keep thinking about it and getting more excited as the week moves on. Friday can't get here fast enough.

:ohbrother: Eminence? Bellevue? Bracken? Ludlow? Must be from one of those schools. What are you kidding me? Frankfort always shows the up-most respect their coaching staff is very respectful, some kids might get a little carried away but they are just showing emotion. Frankfort plays their hearts out with such a small team. Running the score up? When has Frankfort ran the score up? 78-0 Ludlow? What are you suppose to tell the athletes, not to score? Frankfort I believe put in JV/Fresh as soon as they hit the 40 mark. There's nothing wrong with running up the score in high-school football. They are just teenagers. :irked:

A few kids get carried away and thats just emotion. Unsportman like flaggs are not emotion. They are lack of disipline and they are common at Frankfort games.

Last week Frankfort had one for taunting during a 71 yard td reception and Bellevue had 2 out of frustration. I would hardly say that the Panthers are prone to that. If Frankfort isso bad, they shoulda be a 5-5 team, instead of their only loss to a 12-0 team in 5A. 11-1 takes some amount of discipline, doesn't it? Frankfort is allowed to be a good football team without all of the negative stigma people wish to add. I have read many post in the past that also say our kids are good kids as well. I would say that none of the schools we have played would tell you we ran a score up. I can assure you that we have some young kids that are glad we do not. They get a lot of playing time because we do not.
