Highlands 6th final over Sharp 41-28. Highlands actually has 3 regular season losses - Holmes, Woodland and Gray. Since the early exit at the Dayton tournament, they have looked better, going 4-1 with only a loss to Gray. They could still make a run in the district and regional IMO.

 

Correct I missed the Gray game as well. I heard they played them tough without Finn, one of their top players. I would like to see the Birds vs Holmes again. They had 1st half success against them early on but fell apart in 2nd half. They have shortened the rotation since then and are Getting Solid minutes from some Key bench players now. The good news is they finally seen to be playing with Fire. Alot of talent on that roster.

I really think CCMS 6th grade Boy's team will be in the mix. Don't leave them out!

Highlands 6,7,8 take on Twenhofel tonight, should be a good one. Point guard for Twenhofel 6th, Sergent, fun to watch.

The single handily screwed up the brackets for the 4th district. They beat Holmes and lost to Newport! Key Match up Monday at HMS. Look for the Jolly twins to keep it up!

Twenhofel 6th grade held on to beat Highlands by 3 points. Not sure of final score though.

 

I know Coach Herald was Not a happy camper though after the game.

Grey PG Cheesman picked up his 2nd technical foul of the season. Young man better be careful not to pick up a third technical as Grey has a three technical and your off the team rule.

From my understanding, Walton wants to play multiple players across multiple grade levels (ex: play a good 7th grader on both 7,8 teams) and the league frowns on that.

The league may frown on this but in cases like Ludlow, St. Pius, etc. it is allowed for numbers. I think there is a process of approval though that some may not follow. I think you find it more on the girls side than boys. I think it would be interesting if the League went to a Varsity, JV, 6th Grade format.

It would be nice if the league still had a website up and running. Then we could look at the rules and know if it was allowed. We could also view game results to see how each team is doing. A year or so ago they had a website. Not sure what happened.
