Great teachers don't react the way she did, that's how I know she's not a great teacher.

The teacher is wrong, but so is the school system. Personally I think all schools public and private should have uniforms. Had they not had the wear what you want day, this doesnt happen. Again, teacher is wrong here.

Nothing more than a mediocre teacher would allow their political opinions to affect how they deal with students.

Being able to except such actions and still hold a person in such a high regard is why the education system in the US continues to fail. I agree with you wholeheartedly, this teacher essentially made themself a distraction from learning.

I feel pretty certain even RTS would want her canned if she forced a student to remove an Obama T-shirt because she said Obama represented communism, fetus masacre and whatever else rediculous you can think of similar to what this teacher said about Romney.

Agreed, if you don't think this teacher was in the wrong and should be canned then I think you're beyond help. Any teacher that does this regardless of which side of the issues they're on it's despicable.

Yeah, protecting jobs and the middle class daily. Without unions you'd be making pennies. Probably minimum wage or a little higher. Without unions your employer wouldn't offer healthcare, salary increases, vacation packages, pension, 401k, etc. Without unions this country would be a 2 class country, the rich and the poor and you'd be poor just like the rest of us. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with a union employee but your constant attacks on unions based on your uninformed opinion is a shining example of the elitism that ruins this country.

Not true at all. How about the millions upon millions of us in the workforce that aren't employed by union jobs? We seem to be doing well enough without them.
