Drew has been invited to play in the Army All-American game.

 

Awesome!!! I love watching that game. I know he was talking about making his decision in April, but I always thought one of the neatest things about that game was when some players would make their decision during that game. Although it really isn't fair to the colleges who have to wait until then to hear from some of their recruits....but I always liked that part of the game.

 

Hoping a certain lineman from Ryle gets invited to play in the game also. I know he was at their invite only camp during the game last year.

Drew has been invited to play in the Army All-American game.

He likes this UK staff a lot. They're not out of it.

 

He is a HUGE UK b-ball fan. He didn't grow up as a big UK football fan.

Or maybe South Carolina has done a much better job of recruiting him to this point.

I agree with Clyde, as a lot of kids in the area probably didn't grow up big UK football fans. I don't think Drew has anything against UK, I think a big part of his fascination with South Carolina is mainly due to SC's recruiting of Drew and how they've gone about it. They were among the first big D1 schools to entertain the idea of recruiting Drew and that started awhile back. They also have made it clear to Drew that he was the only QB they were going after from the 2014 class I believe. They have been there from the start and have shown long ago how much they like him. Now if he decides to go to South Carolina over UK, could anyone really blame him? I couldn't. I think it would be a perfect fit. If he went to UK he would be behind what?....3 QB's or something like that, and also playing for a team not known for it's offense. On the other hand if he chose South Caronlina he'd be playing for a former Heisman trophy winner, former NFL QB and former NFL Coach who has groomed several QB's to play at the next level. Plus being the only QB recruited by the school in his graduating class would speed his development up even that much more. I just think it's a perfect fit for the kid and the interest South Carolina has shown from the start makes it even more intriguing.

Spurrier is a big, big fan of Bob Stoops and his entire family. Says Drew could not go wrong with playing for him.

I asked about that. Each coach wrote about 10 to 15 letters.

I'm not sure who Drew hears from more. UK coaches or UK committed recruits.
