I believe he was told the other qb was taken as an athlete and that Barker is the true qb they want in the 2014 class.

 

Is he interested? The WRs at the U now are young and talented. They just brought in the #4 receiver in the country, and supposedly are looking good for some of the top guys in South Florida for this year. They have Duk Johnson, and one would think with Coley and Cristobal recruiting they end up with one or two of The 3 big time backs in Dade for this year. Good young offensive line and I don't think he could go to a better position to be successful unless he ends up somewhere like Alabama.

Was there about 10 years ago for a Ky/Ole Miss Basketball game and I must say that it had the best on campus talent that I have ever seen....Period! The buildings reminded me of Miami University...Beautiful all the way around....Wowzers!!!

Been there for a UK/Ole Miss football game. Beatiful place in more ways than one! Southern Belles and hospitality!

Drew hopes to make a decision in late April/early May.

Trosper said Louisville offensive coordinator Shawn Watson told him Barker has the “best release he has seen in 21 years of coaching” and Trosper says the “common person” can’t stand 10 yards away from Barker and catch his ball.

 

“He really peppers it. It comes out of his hand hot. He has that gift,” Trosper said. “He has a tight, compact release. That’s the reason the big dogs like him. He throws a pretty ball.”

Throwing motion is a big component of what is worked on everyday.

 

Plus, pre snap and post snap reads are worked on a lot. I bet he checks to different plays 50% of the time based on what the defense is showing pre snap and film study. He has the freedom to check to any play at anytime and that started in his sophomore year.

The first 2014 Scout.com 300 rankings were released today. Conner QB Drew Barker was ranked the #5 QB and #116 overall. Also representing KY is Bowling Green WR Nacarius Fant at #157 overall and Trinity's (ranked as a QB) Reggie Bonnafon at #240 overall. Congrats to all these young men. :clap::clap::clap::clap:

 

Scout came out with a revised list. Drew is now #4 QB and #72 overall.

 

 

Fant is now #178.

Bonnafon is #253.

Drew has been invited to play in the Army All-American game.
