Kinda why I asked the question about Jan. My guess is things are going to get a little crazy around his house. Based on your last post, looks like they already are.

 

He's worked himself into a very good position when it comes to recruiting. My guess is he'll soon see some of the ugly side of it. Hard pitches, and must sign now type stuff. I hope he enjoys the process and ultimately finds the best place to play at the next level.

 

I asked him this week of he was getting stressed yet. Said he's still enjoying it.

I'm told that former Ryle Raider Tate Nichols was a great host yesterday at ND. The word "gracious" was used.

Good stuff. IMO that first throw was one of the less impressive ones on the video. Nice throw for sure but there are many throws better than that one in that highlight reel. I have always thought he was more impressive running the ball than passing it but he may be more impressive passing than running it now. Next season is going to be interesting for Drew and Conner. He loses a lot of talent around him and will need to carry even more of the load.

I've said for a year now that people that are saying he's a better runner than passer haven't been watching. He will NOT be a running qb in college. Colleges are recruiting him because of his ability to throw the hard passes.

 

He'll still have weapons next season but, you're right, not as many.

He has definitely improved a lot in his passing game. You are right, I don't get to see much of him so it was nice seeing the highlights. I was impressed.

Close to an offer... I think they find a way to get him to OSU.

If he gets an offer, I don't see how he could say no or even think about it. Playing for a great program with Urban Meyer at the helm ... easy decision IMO even with all the options Barker has/may have. Despite the track record of Saban, Spurrier, etc., I would choose playing for Meyer over any other coach out there.

Don't know the kid personally, My advice, become a team guy quick. I would certainly accept an offer from Meyer, but is a TEAM guy.

We get it. You're not a fan. How many shots do you need to take before you're satisfied?

 

I've never seen him pout. I've seen him get up in the face of a defender after taking a hard shot to tell him he will have to come harder than that. I've seen him give it back when the defense tries to get in his head. I've NEVER seen him pout or act like it's not a team game.
