The St X offense scored 16 pts in the first half against BG. The other 7 was a botched punt snap that X picked up and ran in. But your point is well taken. X is the best offense the Purples will see all year and the Tigers will score a lot against Central.

The primary point was the BG fans I spoke to at halftime thought X would put 40 - 45 points on the board that night in Bowling Green. No one knew at halftime outside the X locker room that Gahafer was injured and would not play in the second half. If X can put 27 on the board against Moeller's size and talented defense they will score at least mid - to high 30's against Central. Central is very good, but does not have the numbers, size or talent of a GCL power like Moeller. X wins 38 - 20.

I change my prediction, i think it will be a struggle for Central to score 2tds. I'm going 38-7.

However, loyalties aside I do not care for the all-yellow (any more than I care for the all-black or all-green that T wears). Give me the Tigers in yellow pants & white tops and the Rocks in white pants & green tops.

X's coaches are better; the entire PROGRAM is better. Winning in 3A is a little different animal than winning in 6A. Put it this way: if Central had X's coaching staff for the past 30 years they would have more than 3 titles.

 

So, let's see if I have this straight...

 

X is still better than Central despite the fact that Central has won far more than X in the last 5 years?

 

X's coaches are better than Central's and would have done better at Central despite the fact that they struggle with a 6A team to beat a 3A team?

 

X has better athletes AND coaches...as well as more of them...and still struggle to beat Central and this is indicative of their overall superiority?

 

It is now better to be a Regional Runner Up in 6A than to win rings and trophies and create legacies?

what he said x 10! I hate X's banana uni's as much as I hate T's black on black & green on green but there is no more hideous uni anywhere than our black pants w/ green jersey's. We are wearing the Yellers tonight

IF Central is smart ( and I think they are) and if they watched any film on the Bowling Green game, then I expect a battle. Similar styles with smarming defenses.

St. X can control the line and ball, but has to be more creative on Offense.T

 

Last year, Central had ACE WALES... St. X was playing at their place with Gahafer in his first game as a starter.

 

I like the Tigers: At Home....Wearing Yeller Feller Uniforms.... 35-14..... if and only if, Chitwood and Glaser are smart enough to spread it around early to loosen up the Central D. Otherwise, expect a come to Jesus last second game, just like last year.
