Conner 35 Campbell County 28

Class Prez as well.

Seems to me to be a great kid on top of everything else he's involved in. It's nice to see good kids that work hard get rewarded. Many times it's the low character kids who get the accolades.

I do not think he had the 200 yard rushing game as predicted..

Had at least one 60+ yard TD pass and ran for one for 50+. Total camel yards gained was around 317. I'm sure he accounted for most of them.

I think total yards will be high. Had at least one 77 yard TD pass.

Possibly had over 200 total yards.. But a member of BGP predicted him to RUN for 200. That did not happen

Again, we need to make sure we give Conner's D credit. Coach Trosper said on his post-game show that the Conner O put the D in some really bad/short field situations in the first half. Conner's D made key stops in the 2nd half which allowed the O to get going. Hats off to Coach Trosper and the D coaches.

Conner is now averaging 41 PPG on offense. Even if you take out the HC game they're averaging 32 PPG.

Absolutely, I said before they stepped up huge, and showed a ton of heart. I don't think they gave up a first down in the 4th quarter.

Sure was nice to have #52 back. Huge impact.

Brady Padgett is a great kid all the way around. He and my boy played baseball and football together for years. I'm very happy for him and his parents. Great parents also.

Two busted play TD's for CC, 1 short field TD off of a turnover and only 1 real "drive" by the Camels. Personally I think the Cougars defense played pretty good and with Conner's high-powered offense they don't need to post a shutout.

Great way to set up their district play for the Cougars. Go get 'em next week.

Congratulations to the Cougars. Did anyone check to see if the officials found their cars after the game, they seemed pretty lost while they were on the field?

Let me ask this question and it is regarding a punt CC did. Conner had 2 people back the 1st guy called for a fair catch however, the other guy came over and caught it and advanced it. What is the correct call?

From my understanding, the ref on CC's side said he never saw the fair catch which is quite funny to me that not one official saw the fair catch called. Just curious what the rule is.

I believe that as soon as the fair catch signal was made the ball went farther than player anticipated. As soon as the ball hits the ground the second player can recover and advance the ball. 2nd player is not allowed catch and advance the ball in the air. Once the ball hits the ground 2nd player can advance at own risk.

Figures the ref didn't see it anyway.

You might be right but it still does not make sense to me.

I posted the fair catch scenario on a ref message board. Ball is dead as soon as the receiving team takes possession IF(key) the official recognized the fair catch signal. If he did then they can also penalize the receiving team for delay if the runner took off running with the ball.
