Auxier RiverRat
Local radio said the new PCC coach has confirmed this transfer. I don't see SC taking this lightly I predict this one will end up in court over eligibility.
mcraycraft
Perry Central adds Sheldon Clark star Perry County Central didn't just get its new boys' basketball coach from Sheldon Clark, it's also getting one of the state's top players from the Cardinals. Justin Johnson, a 6-foot-7 junior standout who averaged 14 points and 13 rebounds for Sheldon Clark last season, transferred to Perry Central. Kevin Spurlock, who left Sheldon Clark last week to take over as coach of the Commodores, confirmed that Johnson has transferred to Perry Central. Perry Central already had a talented point guard in Braxton Beverly, a solid big man in 6-6 Dalton Cornett and a pretty good supporting cast. Add Johnson to that lineup and the Commodores will be a power in the 14th Region, if not the state. "It makes us really strong," Spurlock said of the addition of Johnson. "We've got a really good point guard and a couple of big guys who can play. If we can find some shooters on the wings, we'll feel real good about our team." The KHSAA still has to rule on Johnson's eligibility. Read more here: Sports briefs: Sept. 5 | More Sports | Kentucky.com

JimmyV
Why did the kid transfer? Obviously to play for the coach.. KHSAA handbook states in bylaw 6 that a student cannot transfer for athletic purposes only. I would say this is for athletic purposes only. Some adults should do this kid a favor and tell him to stay at Sheldon Clark rather than risk a year of eligibility. Wasn't a kid at Scott Co ruled ineligible a few years ago after transferring from Rose Hill (not Dakota, but the other kid)?

Robbie Barber transferred and was eligible but didn't play.

Will it be one of the classics? Parent got a job transfer/offer in Hazard or going to take care of a sick grandmother.
