Take the ad against Gov Romney saying his layoffs led to the death of the woman. Crap. Saying the POTUS closed down a GM plant even though it closed BEFORE he took office. Crap. There's lies where there MAY be wiggle room in semantics and then there are these types. We let it happen.

He did say that Obama was there making promises during the last election cycle but now the plant was closed. Technically it may not really be closed now. The Wikipedia on it has been constantly updated for political purposes. But the plant was essentially mostly shut down by early 2009. Obama definitely did not close it. Here is February 2008 speech by Obama. At the 1:34 mark is an interesting comment. "I know there are going to be more transitions coming up.". He apparently knew - even if the workers did not at the time - that the plant was on the chopping block at GM.

Maybe he will prove me wrong, but the idea of Clint Eastwood speaking is intriguing, but at his age and with his demeanor I am not seeing a riveting speech. How great would it be if he comes out wearing a cowboy hat, duster, spurs, and smoking a cigarette?

I crashed early last night. I heard Ms. Martinez was really good and labeled a "rising star." Martinez and Rice definitely knocked it out of the park IMO. I didn't even know who Martinez was until last night. I think her speech has been the best of all I've heard thus far.

He originally said that the candidate Obama would keep it open which was never said. Now he's just leaving it up to the imagination of the listeners when he implies that A led to B. It's still a perfect example of why we hate politicians on the stump.
