No tons of respect for Quick. But the X defense is much more agressive than last year and I dont think he's going to explode in that way.

Perhaps so, I'm not a fan of either team I just recognize a great team when I see them. I'm in no way saying X isn't a great team in their own right I just think T should be in the top 5 in the nation maybe #1. I hate the fact that they can't compete for a national title by lining up against other teams. While many know I'm not a fan of the KHSAA's system fan and often talk about it's disadvantages for teams paired withing their class I recognize a great team when it's in my own backyard. Trinity is a great program but this is a special team. Just hope the national guys recognize it as well. This is all for another thread really but it stands true regardless.

Montrell Jones WR went to Tenn then UofL. Without looking I'd say he's 1-3 in almost every receiving category in state history.

Sergio Spencer UofL I think. Casey Shmute Uk. Seems like there was another maybe a Green. I think you could make an argument Bush is the best athlete ever out of KY. Don't have his stats from that state championship game but I think he threw for over 400, rushed for close to 100 and received for close to 100 in the state championship game vs Trinity! He was up for or won Mr Basketball. Rumor was he could sling a baseball around 90 too!

He was mostly at receiver in the 2000 game. The 2002 game he had like 465 yads passing and over 100 yards rushing.

Chris Barclay went to Wake Forrest. I think he is the schools all time leading rusher. Had a decent NFL career as a return man for a couple years.

Matt Sanders was their MLB. Played at UofL. When he got on the field he played well, but slowed by multiple ACL injuries. That team was stacked!

Just unbelievable how awesome that team was. Trinity couldn't do anything to stop them in that crazy state championship game in the snow in 2000. Even with an inch or two of snow on the ground, Montrell Jones was all over the field.

My understanding is UL has given and look and still is interested, Joker @ UK is concerned with his size and the injury factor playing in the SEC. Depending on how the season plays out for UK, they may want reconsider that thinking. He is a tough kid and is absolutely crazy fast.

though I'm not one to go by Ratings. I've always said the best gauge is How that players plays on the field & Competition level & Dawkins game film & Competition level speaks for itself. You will find that most colleges value the players ranking. with that being said Dawkins has elite game film & now has an elite Ranking also. So UL & Uk are flat out num skulls for missing on Dawkins. Landing a 4 star recuit is huge for any big time College. Dawkins is now 5'9 185lb so the size thing just doesn't fly.

 

I know that UC is Leading right now but since his rating is now elite status,some of the big name schools who were close to offering before, will certianly do so now.

 

Frankly I think UL & UK have blown there shot at getting him now

Sounds like Joker... Has he seen his body? The way he bounces off guys. Plus, you have to catch him as well. I have never seen a guy chop his legs so fast going through defenders.

This is what i dont understand. the star system. ive talked to many kids who said scout isnt as good as rivals as espn, but it seems espn doesnt update and rivals is extremely slow. When these kids are being recruited based on star quality which site does the college go by? Rivals? CBS(max preps)? Scout? Espn?

I have been told Scout with out doubt is the best Gauge for Coaches as far as ratings go.
