August 3, 201214 yr Every once in a while I forget which members' "home teams" are which. Just thought I'd start a thread for those of us who care to elaborate on which team(s) they primarily root for. If you could, try to stick to this format: High School College MLB NFL NBA NHL NASCAR

August 3, 201214 yr Btw, isn't MMA more popular than NHL now? Hard to say since UFC numbers are most accurate when considering the actual number of pay-per-view buys and hockey numbers can be derived from ratings. There are also A LOT more hockey games. I do know that the Stanley Cup finals this year averaged 3.01 million viewers per night, which is a five-year low (Who wanted to watch the 8-seed Kings play the 6-seed Devils?). UFC is reporting about 1 million PPV buys for the last event, UFC 148. I don't really know what to make of those numbers.

UFC is reporting about 1 million PPV buys for the last event, UFC 148. I don't really know what to make of those numbers. Here are the three UFC on Fox numbers. Probably a more accurate comparison: The first UFC on Fox show, featuring a heavyweight championship bout between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos on Nov. 12, 2011, did 5.675 million viewers, according to the Nielsen ratings. UFC on Fox saw its ratings decline. The second, with a light heavyweight contender's match between Rashad Evans and Phil Davis as the main event, did 4.661 million on Jan. 28. And on May 5, UFC on Fox 3 did 2.418 million total viewers and finished last in its time slot. It did win its primary demographic – people 18-49 – but in terms of overall audience, it finished below Shark Tank and CSI. UFC on Fox 3 did go against the Mayweather card and wasn't really that good of a card to begin with.
