We have to trust the scouts. I almost always prefer a proven experienced big leaguer over a prospect.

I'm more than happy with Paul so far. None of the names mentioned as possible lead off guys excited me that much. I'm ok with the current roster.

Still will need to make drop two from the pen for Broxton, and Masset when he's back.

Don't forget Mesoraco will probably be suspended for bumping the ump and they will have to bring up a catcher for a few days.

Not sure if the Reds will drop a pitcher to bring up a catcher or not.

Maybe it looks more like Masset may not be coming back this year. He has had a few setbacks.

The Reds had to have the largest relievers in MLB before the trade....this just solidifies the top spot IMO.

He's had two pretty decent rehab appearances so far. Nothing points to him not coming back.

He had a set back and soreness late last week. Was shut down again for now.

Have no idea where you are getting your information.

This was from Saturday.

MASSET UPDATE

Right-hander Nick Masset took a big step in his rehab Friday when he threw an inning in an Arizona League game. Masset struck out three. He faced four batters — one reached on an error.

He looked really good. He’ll pitch in another game Monday in Goodyear,” pitching coach Bryan Price said. “We’ll re-evaluate after that.”

Masset has been on the DL the whole season a right shoulder problem.

Good thing it's not a marathon. Just shut 'em down in the 8th, that's it.

Dude needs a laxative, or slimfast, or Jenny Craig, or a salad every once in a while.
