What Kind Of Pillow Do You Sleep On?

Featured Replies

Memory foam with a folded towel under it, without the towel my head sinks into the pillow too much. Without a doubt a body pillow is a MUST. When staying in a hotel I get extra pillows, one between the legs and one to "snuggle" with.

I just steal the girlfriends pillow in the middle of the night, sleep like a baby, not sure what type it is but makes me sleep lilke a baby.

"Those aren't pillows!"

I too, suffer from heartburn. I am going to look into this.

You can also elevate the head your bed 4 inches and get the same affect. I got the wedge pillow, because Mrs. S nixed that idea.

Also if you elevate the bed, don't use satin sheets. You'll wake up with your butt in floor at the foot of the bed. Same thing happens on Visqueen and Vegetable Oil night. :D

I had a friend who tossed hi bed onto his satin sheets on their wedding night. She ended up very unhappy and on the floor.

I just stayed at a Hilton in SF, and loved the pillows so much that I looked at the tags and ordered one when I got home. I've had a hard time finding a pillow I really like since my old feather one crapped out about 5 years ago. It's called a Pacific Coast Down Around.

I had a sore neck for about 6 months about 8 years ago. I tried different pillows and nothing worked. Then I tried a memory foam contour pillow. The soreness went away in about 3 days. It cost a lot but I wouldn't say it way expensive. If it solves the problem and lasts a long time, it is well worth the money. The formula for success is not going to be the same for everyone, but this worked for me.

2-1/2 years later...

So as it turned out, I had a trip out of town for a few nights not too long after posting this thread. The hotel pillow I slept on was one of the most comfortable I could ever recall, so I pulled it out of the pillowcase and wrote down the information on the tag of the pillow. After finding them online (for whatever reason, I can't recall the manufacturer's name), I saw that the few reviews I could find of them were relatively positive, so I ordered two of them. For about a year they were great, but now they seem to have broken down rather than breaking in...and it's time for a new pillow once again.

Any suggestions this time around?

I have a few pillows, all different, including a Tempur Pedic. But the one I got a few months ago is now my favorite, a bamboo pillow I got for about $25 at the drug store. It is very comfortable.

I had a tempure pedic that was stolen while at a hotel in louisianna, it was nice, but I've always prefered feather pillows. The feather pillow I have had since i was a kid just recently sprung a leak, so I have to find a replacement asap.

Foam pillow and mattress will never go back.

I have two memory foam pillows right now, and I'm not sure I like them.

I need those pillows that always stay cool.

Just picked up 'cool' pillows for Mrs. TAC for Christmas. Came in a 2 pack. Gel sleeve that goes into the pillow case. Just OK.

My wife bought me one of these for Christmas. So far, really comfortable. Like any pillow with me though, it doesn't stay cool enough for me, but it's darn comfortable.
