Longneck's in Wilder, Ky.?

Featured Replies

My favorite was the one on the river in Newport. Wish they would reopen a place on the river.

I agree. I always liked that place, good food and great atmosphere. It would be nice to see them reopen a place like that on the river. I like the Beef O Brady's in Union.

Almost 4 years on last post, so looking for fresh input. I've never been here and I don't drive by this place much, but when I do, the parking lot is packed all the time no matter what night. What's the attraction? What's so great about it?

Considering it caught on fire, I guess they reopened. Havent been since then.

Haven't been there in a couple years. It's a solid bar/casual restaurant. Decent food, decent prices. Not the best at anything, but pretty good at everything. I should go more often, but I either find myself hanging out somewhere that's either closer to home, or a little bit nicer. If I lived closer, I'd certainly find myself at Longnecks more regularly.

It has pretty good food and pretty decent beer prices and it doesn't have a lot of competition in the southern half of the county. They have TVs everywhere so it is a good spot to watch games.

The big negative for me is the fact that it allows smoking on the bar side which still drifts over to the dinning area. Overall though it is a pretty solid sports bar.

We go to Longnecks in Wilder a decent amount, especially during bball season and March Madness. They have a good variety on their menu and I am a fan of most of the food. Pretty solid beer selection, which is becoming more and more important to me. Never had poor service there. Tons of TVs. Great place to watch a sporting event.

Tuesday nights is $2 pint night (all beers for $2) and trivia.

I do wish they would get rid of it all together like Dickmans has, but I will say that it is much better than it used to be when they allowed it in the whole restaurant.

Good size patio as well.

$10 domestic buckets during UK & Bengals games I think.

I've found myself attending Longneck's on Tuesday nights more and more lately.

Back in 2012, we had about 10-12 buddies that went like 19 our of 20 Tuesdays to play trivia and enjoy a couple It was a nice little get together.

So smoking allowed in there? And it filters over to restaurant area? I guess that's why I don't go there.

I can't remember the last time I was in a bar. Probably for a post wedding or something. Long necks isn't bad and I'd say they make a decent amount of money off of NKU students both past and present.

I think they allow it after 9. I'm not 100% sure.

Only smoking in the bar area. I think he meant the smell still drifts over that way.

It's allowed in the bar area, but I've never once sniffed a hint of it on the restaurant side.
