July 3, 201214 yr I think a few buddies of mine and I might be in attendance as well. More for thh $2 beers and trivia though though haha! Might see ya down there. Last year from about August until November we were there every Tuesday for trivia. Definitely a good time and helps break up the work week a little with good friends. For sure, I have done trivia a few times myself. It's a good time and like you said you can't beat the $2 beers.
July 3, 201214 yr Do they still allow smoking in there? As far as i know you can't smoke in the "restaurant section" until after like 9 or 10 but it depends on who you ask. Pretty sure you can still smoke in the bar area at all times.

Thanks. I try to avoid places where there is smoke. Glad the people can but it's not for me. The food isn't THAT good to get me in there and be around the smoke.

That pretty much sums it up for me as well. It's out of my typical path, plus you can smoke. Two big negatives in my book.

Can't deal with a 'Mad Men' smoking atmosphere if it is that bad.

July 4, 201214 yr Had a Wilder Burger last night. Anyone remember the old Double R Bar from Roys? Outstanding. The smoke is not really noticeable in the seated section there. Bar section a little more. Never bothers me anyway. If ya got em...
July 11, 201214 yr I prefer Barleycorn's any day of he week. :thumb: I'm assuming because B'corns is smoke free? Longneck's blows Barleycorn's out of the water in just about every other category...
July 12, 201214 yr Seriously? How often have you been to Longneck's? I have to agree. We used to frequent Barleycorn's at leasty once a month. I'd say it's been two years now since our last visit. The atmosphere is a little less sports bar and more restaurant at Barleycorn's. Some prefer that. Barleycorn's menu may be a little more extensive also. However, if you compare just the bar food, it's no contest. And I'm telling you. Longnecks pizzas are pretty darn good. We had pizza night with the kids a couple of weeks ago, and it's usually Larosas. Decided to carryout from Shortnecks, and it was a hit.

July 14, 201214 yr This explains my assessment. I don't do bar food...or bar for that matter. I agree that Barleycorn's has more of a restaurant-type feel, but Longneck's food blows Barleycorn's out of the water.
