Brewers @ Reds Series 6/25 through 6/27/12

Featured Replies

Back in the 75 season Soarky used to get booed by the fans lots of times when he would go to the mound to get his pitcher at the drop of a hat. Gullett was the only pitcher he loved. He might have gone to the mound after the 1 out walk.

But with no hitters? All I'm sayin.

Well, he was at 90, but anyway. Still, I don't think pitch counts were much of a concern for Sparky. Pure instinct was what he went on, and had he been managing this version of the Reds, he would be well aware of Arroyo's ability to fall apart in a hurry, and would've had somebody ready.

Sparky would tell his pitchers if you don't want me coming out there to get you then you better get them 1-2-3

He didn't care. 1-2-3, or you're coming back with me.

Seriously, who rolls toward home plate?

If I played now I would if I were sent home from 2nd on a ball hit into the gap.

He wasn't called Capt. Hook for nothing.

It was short of the wall.

Are we talking about the same play?

The play I'm talking about the ball hit off the wall and bounced past Stubbs back towards CF.

That was a great game. Glad I got to share it with you guys/girls!

Chapman's roll is nothing compared to the J Bronson's rolling tonight.

From Mark Sheldon....

Doubt you'll see Chapman do somersault again. Baker, Price and players not pleased. He was talked to after game. #reds

Arroyo has nuts hanging from his locker...

They are from the horse that's going to end up in your bed.

Arroyo has nuts hanging from his locker...

He wears them during the game. You can witness him adjusting those nuts after every pitch. They must itch.

How is that a jinx? What does Chapman do? Let's hear it. I would lay money that SSC and UKMF are hoping he blows it.

That's a cheap shot.

I want the Reds to win every game. After reading several years back that teams win a the exact clip now as they did 100 years ago and it's never really wavered more than 1% or so I realized a defined closer isn't a big deal.
