Brewers @ Reds Series 6/25 through 6/27/12

Featured Replies

I might stop reading through these threads with the amount of Dusty complaints. No matter what he does, he can't be right with a lot of you guys.

Do the Brewers plunk someone tonight?

So Marshall, a lefty specialist, shouldn't have been used to get the final out in the 8th against a LH when lefties kill Arroyo?

I'm just saying, it doesn't matter what he does, ya'll are going to find some reason to complain. Makes this thread tough to read sometimes. But I feel redundant because I saw that at least once or twice a season.

No, but maybe this afternoon. :D

I have defended Dusty from the beginning but I agree that in that situation, Arroyo needed to be pulled.

I am with you on the Dusty complaints. But as I have said numerous times, there is only one thoing Reds fans like more than the Reds - complaining about the Reds manager... no matter who it is.

As to someone getting plunked, what a crock! I have followed baseball a long time and anyone who thinks Chapman was showing anyone up last night is a joke. Is there no fun allowed in MLB at all? No personality? I could not believe it when I heard in the post game how Chapman's own teammates and Dusty were going off on him. This isn't the friggin' Supreme Court. Everyone in baseball needs to loosen up a little. If Chapman started doing this after every save, that is an issue. But last night it was clearly Chapman just being happy to get back on track.

It's immature, childish, and without question showing up the other team.

You mean like the walk off celebrations the Brewers do? Or the two summer salts Gomez did last year?

Have never figured out the outrage over grown men playing kids games having even a little fun...

How dare you complain about Dusty.

I didn't say other teams don't do it. Valverde from Detroit is the worst though. I just don't like it, that's all I'm saying.

How do you feel about the walk off, bounce at home plate celebrations?

I don't know what you all are talking about saying Stubbs should have caught that ball. Just watch the video EZ posted in post #290. Stubbs is running full speed the whole time until he realizes he's not going to catch it. Could he have tried to catch it and crashed into the wall? Sure. But even then he likely still wouldn't have caught it and crashing into the wall would risk an inside the park HR if Stubbs knocks himself out.

Have no problem with it. Celebrating a game winning hit and something as routine as a save are completely different in my eyes.

Don't need to watch the video, I was there and had a perfect view of it. He got a terrible break, and was not running full speed. As soon as he got to the track, he stopped. He could've caught it.
