June 27, 201214 yr That's a cheap shot. I want the Reds to win every game. After reading several years back that teams win a the exact clip now as they did 100 years ago and it's never really wavered more than 1% or so I realized a defined closer isn't a big deal. It's a joke, not a cheap shot. You need to learn to roll with the punches. I've seen you throw that quote out there probably 100 times now, but have never seen any evidence to support that.
June 27, 201214 yr From Mark Sheldon.... Doubt you'll see Chapman do somersault again. Baker, Price and players not pleased. He was talked to after game. #reds What's the problem with him doing that? He wasn't showing anybody up just glad to get the monkey off his back.
June 27, 201214 yr I think Heisey catches that ball if he was playing the same depth as Stubbs. What? Are you serious? I know your not the only one on here who has said that, but I just don't feel like quoting all of them. However I was at the game, and that ball was crushed and it got out to the wall quick. No way does Heisey catch it either, maybe he plays it off the wall better than what Stubbs did though. Morgan for the Brewers by the way had an amazing catch in this game, however he wouldn't have gotten to that ball either.

June 27, 201214 yr Are we talking about the same play? The play I'm talking about the ball hit off the wall and bounced past Stubbs back towards CF. Looked at it again. It was off the bottom of the wall. I still think Heisey catches it or makes a better effort in trying to catch it. MLB.com Gameday | brewers.com: Gameday

I've seen you throw that quote out there probably 100 times now, but have never seen any evidence to support that. I can't find it. I've looked. Lance McCalister linked to an article that linked to a study from 04 yesterday saying something very similar but it's not what I'm looking for. Jokes are sort of cheap shots right? It's no biggie. Just messing with you as well.
June 27, 201214 yr Heisey wasn't catching that ball. Heisey gets a much better jump than Stubbs. I think Stubbs needs glasses or contacts. Maybe that's why he strikes out so much.
June 27, 201214 yr What's the problem with him doing that? He wasn't showing anybody up just glad to get the monkey off his back. Some people on the other team might not agree. If Votto gets hit on purpose tomorrow and is out a month we will all be singing a different tune about it.

MLB.com Gameday | brewers.com: Gameday I was at the game and had a perfect angle on it, and real time. Heisey doesn't come close to catching that ball either, I doubt any centerfielder does. That is how quickly the ball got out there, it was hit very hard. Only thing Heisey could have done better, was maybe get himself in better position to play it off the wall than what Stubbs did. I like Heisey but he does not catch that.

MLB.com Gameday | brewers.com: Gameday It's clearly off the middle of the wall in the video. I'm not sure what you're watching. First you say it was short of the wall, then you say it was the bottom of the wall. Why not just say I was right and it was off the middle of the wall?
June 27, 201214 yr Author A good win, 2 in row, now would love to get the sweep and see the Reds run off another winning streak. That 5 of 6 loss streak was killing the mojo! It just seems a good night sleep is on the way on night's the Reds win!
June 27, 201214 yr Thoughts on the game: Nice job bouncing back after the Brewers tied it. Stubbs could've caught the Hart ball had he been going full speed (a la TPlush earlier in the game). Embarrassing stuff from Chapman with the somersaults. Thought I was going to witness my first no-no for a while there. Dusty once again tried to cost them a win. No reason whatsoever to not have Marshall in to face Aoki in that situation. He was up, loose, and ready in the pen. Just no excuse for leaving Arroyo in there.
June 27, 201214 yr I might stop reading through these threads with the amount of Dusty complaints. No matter what he does, he can't be right with a lot of you guys. Do the Brewers plunk someone tonight?
