The comparisons are going to start running rampant - LeBron vs. Jordan. That lead me to wonder if any champion led by Jordan was as bad as this champion led by LeBron. Then I started trying to think of any champion that is worse than this Heat team. I am not sure there is one.

Not the worst championship squad by a long shot. Just something for the LBJ haters to hand their hats on.

Good Lord. Give LeBron credit for playing perhaps the most incredible month and change in hoops history. History will bear out that the team they beat is no slouch, as I expect Durant to garner a handful of rings.

Portland in '77 was a great TEAM but not filled with superstars. Same could be said for a lot of 70's champs: '78 Bullets, '79 Sonics.

I don't know how you could call this the worst team. They had 3 perennial all-stars. A PG who scored 25 in one of the final games. One of the better defenders in the game with Battier. And a very good shooter in Mike Miller. Are they a great team? No. But the pieces worked and LeBron deserves a lot of the credit.

 

Two years ago everyone said they were easily the best team and expected to win championships. There was even talks of them breaking the Bulls 72-10 record. Now that they've won, we are discussing if they are one of the worst Champions? I don't get it.

Nowhere close to the worst team ever because of the star power, but rather just another of the top teams that won the title in a particular season. Many forget they finished with the 4th best record in the NBA. Now a dynasty could be in the making, but after two seasons the Heat are not the most fluid of offensive teams and durability wise I question their long term sustainability. They should be the favorites the next few seasons.

You may be right about the star power. The 1-3 of the Heat can play with any previous champion. However, go 4-8 and find me one champion that is even close to as bad as the Heat.
